Cost of treating obese patients soars to $147 billion
markdavd replied to OldGoat99's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Has anybody seen the cost of treating someone with eating disorders? -
Thanks for the ideas. I called Enterprise and they came in 1/2 of what the others wanted.

I've been looking into renting a van the second weekend in Sept. and keep getting the price of $800-$1000 for a 3 or 4 day rental, which is a little (lot) out of my price range. This is for a family trip. Does anyone have recommendations of somewhere I might find one cheaper? Thanks.

Isn't this one of the banks that didn't need a bailout but was forced to take one by the Feds? -
If you just wanted an old phone, many of us have those laying around and would be happy to pass them on. The problem is none of those old phones has a qwerty keyboard. I hope you do find one. Good Luck!

A little vent...I'd expect more in these times

I wonder how many junk emails that are targeted to realtors are received every day. As I said earlier, it's probably very easy for a legitimate email from a new potential client to get lost. After initial contact is made (via phone) the question should be how you can be sure future emails get read bythe person intended. Anyone worth their salt would add you to a white list so your emails are handled correctly. If they can't answer that, call the next one. -
According to this, it applies to the back as well as the front: http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/GA/

Have you tried calling any of the realtors in question? People seem to think that email is the ultimate form of communication, but emails can get lost or treated as spam way too easily and the intended party never sees it. -
Be glad they didn't take the time to check how dark the tint was and maybe give you a ticket for that.

Maybe it's like the Star Trek movie. They had a special 'sneak peak' a night or two before opening day.

if you live in the 120/92 area, Hunters Glen/South Fork

Yes. And he talked with the officials trying to track it. -
It was closed when the property owners sold it. I'm surprised somebody hasn't gotten a group of local investors together to buy the old dragstrip property and reopen it. With the apparent popularity, it shouldn't be too hard to find 1000 local residents willing to invest $1000 each. $1,000,000 would be a good start in buying the property and reopening the dragstrip.

My son saw it an hour or so ago. He's on Spanish Trail Way off Mt. Tabor. -

I hope it's not a precursor to him going postal for real. -

If you let your car insurance lapse and were in an accident where you were at fault, would you expect to be able to get a new policy that would cover the 'pre-existing' accident? -
Did anyone else notice that the same day they pronounced the drought over it stopped raining?

Wallpaper remover from Home Depot works for me. Just follow the directions.

iirc, you can only do it through the mail every other time. If you did it via mail last time, you need to go in person this time.

Some People Think Health Care Reform Won't Benefit Them
markdavd replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Maybe they should expand the va (or better yet, create a parallel department) to provide healthcare for anyone who thinks it's the government's job to take care of them, and leave the rest of us alone. -
I believe you. I was responding to complaints about Heigh ho Silver's comment.

Let's just go back to the way medicine was practiced 100 years ago. Who needs modern (expensive) equipment or drugs? -

0bama is looking at other countries as an example of how to set things up. This means under Obamacare, a simple test to determine if a patient had cancer could take a year or more. -
How many months/years has it been since they paid their water bill?

Same here. Also, if the husband is not the bio-dad, the wife should be compelled to name who is so the right person can be made to take responsibility.

I doubt his wife had her boyfriend present at the delivery instead of him.
