We always knew of each other from school, but never officially met until one night that seems like last night. My favorite way to cook deer stew is to cut the meat into small chunks, dredge in salt and peppered flour, and brown in bacon grease. Dont fully cook it, just brown. In a large pot cut up potatoes, carrots and onions and boil just until the potatoes are al dente, then add your meat, and more salt and pepper. Cook until it starts to thicken, if its too thin for your liking, you can make a rue with butter, milk and flour and add to the stew to thicken it. That is awful, I hope she'll be okay. On my way to pick my son up from school there was a pit bull loose wandering in peoples yards, it made me scared for him that he might get hit but also afraid for children because it was time for elementary kids to get home.

Well kudos to you, I feel your pain, but.....its against the rules to criticize your fellow posters on grammar to make them feel inferior from posting because of it. BUT, with some folks it just typos, others, they really dont know, and on this board, its not our job (on the open board at least) to embarrass them and point it out, better suited for a pm if you feel that strongly. I myself notice every error but swallow it and go on, just like I dont take the time to add the apostrophe's where they are needed and they get underlined in a red line, lol

I am so so very sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine losing my spouse, let alone so sudden. My prayers are and will continue to be with you. Such a touching and important story. I am so sorry you lost your mother, and I have tried and tried to get my mother in law to get her colons copy and she has not. I am going to push even harder now.
