I need clarification on the Republican stance on an issue

Lets talk about redistribution and what it means. Could it mean that stop taxing the middle class at the rate of 40% and giving it to people as earned income credit? Could it mean that businesses might lose their special tax loop holes if they are not the job producers that have earned them the tax shelters they enjoy. Could it mean taking the money the people have to provide healthcare for themselves out of the hands of insurance company into the hands of those that have gone to school many years and work hard for us at our most vulnerable time. Marxism, I don't think so, realizing just -

Actually it appears to be all at this point. I does not seem to be very honest or genuine to me. -

I don't like mind changing to take credit for something. There is nothing wrong with saying I was mistaken it is working well let me get on board and help make it even better. I don't care what party does something that truly improves the quality of life for Americans. I just know damn well that the Republican party and especially the local GOP was against the government helping to create private sector jobs. Now everyone of them are giving interviews saying they support it. I am totally supportive of it but I am looking sideways at some of these folks and their supporting organizations. -

Amazing the government shrinks and still people find fault. The price of fuel will continue to steadily rise, we are finally almost completely on domestic oil. That lack of competition always turns out well for Americans. I know I know nothing good can happen for the next 3 years. Anyway it seems as though the view point that I know I have heard many times must have indeed changed. I am pretty positive that Republicans did not support the government getting involved in private sector job creation. The story seems to have changed when politicians are now claiming to have a hand in doi -

So we have not provided many tax loop holes just for the job providers that now do not produce the jobs? Let them pay the tax rates of the upper middle class if they are not the job producers. That is not redistribution, that is called fair. By the way the middle class are some of the hardest working people in this country. They don't ask for hand outs. -

Why? nobody denies flat wages, higher benefits, and a higher cost of living that has severely impacted the middle class. Nobody denies that the job producers are not producing here in the states and keeping their profits in offshore accounts. They claim it is because our government makes it hard on them. I am not buying it, the bottom line is cheap labor in other countries. Sure you can force lower wages on the American worker. All it does is crash the economy when we don't buy any more than we have to. I have many friends that are in business for themselves looking to downsize -
It is very hard to tell what snakes this young are. I have always heard that their venom is very potent. Pets many times survive bites by poisonous snakes. I am asking because she brought the last one in the house, it was about 1/2 the size of this one. If she sneaks this one in later I want to know if I should be worried.

You did good mom. I taught my kids you always do the right thing. He did the right thing. Adults and people in authority don't always do the right thing you can't justify not doing right because others are not doing the right thing. I would just shrug when my kids told me about things like this, the administrators use a broad brush to maintain the peace, don't take it personally and try to stay within the rules. Institutions are institutions they are not people.

Is it going to be one of your special far right opinion sites? Did none of them come up under a simple search phrase? -

I have to say I am disappointed. I really wanted a straight and simple answer as in has Obama done a single thing right since being in office? Really I am not kidding. I don't want graphs or stuff about Obama care. Someone has to know where the majority of republicans stand on this issue. I could throw out another bunch of questions about family values and get answers. I am confused with some of the articles I have read in the past on this subject. I have even seen speeches that this is the subject in the past. I can't find anything recent. That is why I am asking. Have people -
It is extremely offensive to those of us that consider this home and have invested a lot of time and energy getting involved and helping this community. Our family does not say insulting things about the natives (with the exception of being litter bugs). My children were raised here and are staying here, it is their home. I will say this however, I have seen some home grown's that do not want outsiders in some of their pet projects and charities. I know more than a few folks that have had their feelings hurt when trying to get involved and help with some causes. But that is peo

It is obvious that I don't agree with some of the view points of the far right. I do however listen to their opinions and why they believe what they do. I also have many friends and acquaintances that are republican and some even belong to The local GOP. I am pretty sure that I have heard it stated many times that government has no place in private or public job creation. Am I confused on this?

As far as I am concerned the new residents were invited. I think it is terrible for some to cop an attitude. Folks came here in good faith that the community did want new people. I have been here close to 25 years. We chose this place long before the building boom. Both of us were from small rural towns. My husband wanted to go to life College and we felt more at home here than in the city. Our intention was to move to some place in West Virginia even more rural when he graduated. We fell in love with the town and liked all the natives that we met here. It was not easy to

Pubby your idea of strategy is very timely. We need leadership in the BOC that has a vision for this county and will put that in place over the coming year. I do wish you would publish the video of Scott Green explaining the road improvements over the next 5 years. I just looked at a falling down shack on 2 and a 1/2 acres on North 61. 155,000 now zoned commercial. We are seeing commercial property for sale on every main road in the county. We are seeing the builder signs once again. How big do we want the population here, 200,000 3, 4, 5, our projections are well within those estimate

Some of these folks have very different ideas about their property. They purchased it and it is theirs to do with as they please. If you want your neighbors to be neat and orderly you move into an HOA. We see junk and garbage, they store things in the yard that they are going to repair or use someday. I come from a long line of hoarders. You can't stop them. We have one in our neighborhood right now that has surrounded his back yard with silt fence and tarps to hide the hoard from his neighbors. We have another that keeps building shelters to keep us off his back. I get sick when I pass

I actually watched a few videos today of a candidate trying to discuss issues that he felt were very important while trying to get around some flash point words that would make him look as though he might be in agreement with the current national administration. I admired him for about 30 seconds. It has been 5 years and so many problems have been discussed that candidates have to hire professionals to make sure they don't accidently step in it. Poor things can only repeat rhetoric over and over if they want to be elected. You get what you pay for.

Insults Are Offensive, But People Use Offense As A Defense.
LPPT replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I like that one. It reminds me of my life rule. There are no do overs, never let others control your life by their actions and your reactions. No matter how much you justify it, you never get an extra moment or another life to experience the joy you are intended to have in this one. -

Insulting people is taking the easy way out. It is so easy to insult people especially if you are an insensitive person. Nobody is perfect therefore it is very easy to pick out an imperfection and hurl an insult. It is definitely a sign of weakness when you resort to it. -
I didn't post this to make everyone cry. It is a sweet acknowledgement of what animals mean in our lives. The older I get the more I believe that all animals are a gift from the creator to us. Not just dogs and cats but all animals. I believe that dogs and cats were created to be our companions and help us understand our relationship to our creator. They give us loyalty and unconditional love. They are not perfect by any means. Living with them is not always easy, there are messes to clean up, there is barking, and other things that can be considered inconvenient. They are much like us

Blackberry winter generally comes on the tail end of the Dogwoods blooming. Easter is late this year, or the equinox. While freezing temps can kill vegetation the hours of daylight generally cause growth or slow it down. The weather systems aren't really tightly controlled by the angle of the planet. I think we will see some very warm days between now and Easter but you can't expect too much growth from annuals and vegetables until after the equinox. I am beyond ready to put the big hibiscus I wintered over in the house outside. It is simply to soon. It has to be well after Easter

So you don't see his tolerance of 1000's of people on this site as an indication the he can and does compromise. Of course he criticizes conservatives and Tea partiers, just like many of you criticize Democrats and Liberals. It seems he is a lot more tolerant than many, which in itself shows the ability to compromise. He has his faults no need to go and makeup more.
