    Shouldn't everyone have to pay something towards healthcare? Our premiums in Ga. are higher because we did not take the federal Medicaid. That is what this discussion is about. We are in the exact same place as we were before reform. Insurance companies are gouging the people that can pay, because the hospitals are gouging them for those that can't pay.     I click through to the Forbes because I often read the articles from them. I interpreted the article as advice to investors. From now on hospitals will run in the black instead of the red. Insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies will no longer be able to make obscene profits so change your portfolios accordingly.

    I am prepared to cope with the problems that arise from people getting relief from their pain and suffering. I may regret a lot of things someday but I can see nothing to regret about healthcare reform. Not only will many get relief, it will put a stop to people dying broke or starting their lives broke due to serious illness.     The insurance companies are the ones that took the policies away. If a man never uses birth control then the company never has to put that money out, same maternity care.     It is very simple the cost of healthcare and premiums are going to drop. You forget under the old system insurance companies were keeping almost 1/2 of the money intended to go to pay doctors, hospitals and other health related products and services. That 50% will more than cover healthcare cost. Insurance companies almost never paid 100% for anything. The healthcare facilities where charging twice the amount hoping to get at least 1/2 of that , which was the real cost of healthcare. Most are perpetuating myths about healthcare reform for the Obama haters to feed on. You people make everything into democrat vs republican. It is simply healthcare reform, not Obama care.     Yes sir I am. For reform to work every single person must pay into healthcare. Those too poor to pay anything will have the government contributing for them. Those that refuse to write a check for healthcare will have the government deduct it from their taxes and write the check for them. The old way I was paying through my premium for the people uninsured that were treated at the hospital, and paying again through my taxes.     Maybe I can help some of find something positive about healthcare reform maybe even spiritual about it. Why don't you do this tonight when you lay down and say your prayers. Pray a prayer of thankfulness to the many that have passed on, thank them for losing everything they ever worked for when they became very sick. The special people that have insurance through their jobs need to know that you have been(about 50%) of the population have been paying for everything. Equipment, salaries, drugs ect.     We would not even be talking about him if people had not chosen to believe him and follow him. He should have been labeled as a demented old man and ignored. There are people out there that love to hate and they will willingly follow anyone that gives them a way to express it.     I understand people die of alcohol. I just can't understand things like flesh eating drugs, things cut with rat poison. Having no idea the strength of what you are taking.     I understand the addiction part.. It has always seemed to me that addicted people are sometimes even more sensitive than those that aren't. I just wonder why they make the dangerous choice when it comes to self medicating.. I have heard the term drug of choice. I wonder if that means that some mind altering drugs feel right to them and some don't. It just seems that alcohol is relatively safer. I know about the spring winding scenario you speak of. Dry drunks can be so bad you want them to drink.
