  1. Mike and his staff go over and above. Most people are on maintenance drugs. Even antibiotics are needed but if necessary for survival are administered in the hospital. My son's medicine is keeping him alive. 2 days without it and he could die. Mike has been formulating it for many years. After the last bad ice storm he informed us that he would use his 4 wheel drive to make sure our son got he needed. Convenience and price are all good. I am paying for integrity with Mike at the medicine shop! He has gone above and beyond for my family!
  2. To think that these parent's hard earned money for tuition pays this women's salary. The young people graduating will not have good memories of that day. People think that private schools give their children better educations. Being private they also make their own rules and decide what is and is not appropriate behavior by their teachers. We ran into some issues with that. 15 years ago when searching for a private school for our son we decided against a few schools because there was no diversity in the students. It just did not feel right that all the kids were white.
  3. The bottom line is we naturally want to be safe and we look for clues to keep ourselves that way. I am pretty sure that about 99.9 percent of white people did not think they would be welcome at the looting and riots over the last year or so.
  4. I saw this for the first time a few years ago. How remarkable that it is not found in the history books. The civil rights movement and even slavery is taught. People want to blame behavior on the color of skin. They are using these riots to get the feds involved. We don't see blatant racism much these days. I honestly was not aware that blacks were being targeted by local LE and judicial systems. I do believe the civil unrest as much as I hate it is causing the feds and the local judicial systems to go under the microscope. I want to believe that there will be cases that there is just cause an
  5. What is the appropriate way to describe what we saw on the news. Simply say young African American people are rioting and looting? Would the descriptive then become a bigoted and derogatory term? I don't think there is any way around the fact that there were no white people joining them. African American and thug are not synonymous in my mind. Being honest with myself I ask what do I picture in my mind when I see thug. So hear it is honestly. A thug walks around with their hoodie pulled up so it is hard to see them, they often wear dark glasses to hide their identity further. Their pant
  6. I was shocked at the people that jumped on this women for child abuse. Parents teach children self discipline by creating a consequence for their wrong actions. We do it because we know that the world out there is full of worse consequences we can not protect them from. His mother was protecting him, maybe even from death in a riot. He is a big boy, she got his attention. Sometimes I see what amounts to abuse when kids are not disciplined and they stay in trouble in school all the time because they don't really know right from wrong.
  7. I hate it but the tax money is there, you can have the money go for cops, prison, drug abuse ect or you can get involved not only paying fair taxes and making sure it does the most good. I know a lot of Paulding County folks would be surprised at the amount of black and minorities that own franchises and businesses here. They don't choose to rock the boat by getting involved locally with education and programs that help minorities. That is the truth. White activist for causes are all good. Black is a waste of money that folks don't want to see pouring into the judicial system. Unfortunately fo
  8. What is that going to get him? 5-10 because there is no way he can pay the fines?
  9. Could that be tax breaks for the rich and starving eduction and even infrastructure? Surely that is not a problem in the great USA?
  10. I don't believe it is liberal ideas. This is a race issue plain and simple. Whites never ask the question is it because I am white? Blacks live with that question 365 for life. We can't solve anything until we acknowledge the problem. Nobody denies that blacks are acting badly and our judicial system is acting badly in response. The only thing we do in this is country damage control. Progressives have worked hard in the area of education for minorities. The welfare system was a response to unequal pay. When the middle class is struggling the lower classes are suffering. Drugs and crime are sy
  11. I know that there are cases out there of abuse by LE. I am pretty sure the Gray case is one. He was given a rough ride in the back of that van. I am saying that many would not suffer if they complied with police. Don't argue, don't fight, wait for your day in court. The bad attitude goes both ways. Poverty and crime go hand in hand. You have more whites in jail than blacks. My point is the resisting arrest, and antagonizing officers that goes on.
  12. Do they allow married couples to live in public housing now? When I was growing up they did not.
  13. There is more to this video than what people are seeing on the surface, it actually clearly shows why we are having the problem with the rioting and looting. I see a young man submitting to the authority of his mother. All males past the age of puberty submit to their mothers authority. He could have easily turned on her and taken her down. The problem at the bottom of young black men resisting arrest is a lack of a male authority figure in their lives. They will not accept authority, they have never had an authority figure in their life. They fear it. I don't have to tell anyone the t
  14. I am not sure how others feel about this. I have talked to many mothers over the years that are desperate for their children to graduate. Their children are sometimes brilliant in math, science and related subjects, yet literature and English are such weak subjects that they can not pass the graduation test. These kids are capable of making a good living in the real world. They are outright condemned to a life of poverty without that diploma. School is one size fits all, the real world has room for those round pegs and it is not necessarily a jail cell. I know many mothers will sleep bet
  15. It is disturbing that there was a child with her. This is someone that has no empathy for an animal that is completely dependent on her for it's welfare just like the child. Both have to trust her for their survival. I have become so sensitive that I can not read an animal abuse story. I read headlines every day about children abused to death by their mother. I get physically ill because there is nothing to be done, the child or the animal suffered usually for a long time. You can punish the person, but it does not relieve the suffering from my empathy for the innocent victims. As far as
  16. It seems like it has been a long one too! It is great for me. I am tilling my vegetable and flower gardens in 70 degrees instead of 90. Some of the plants don't grow much when it is cool like this but that is fine. My snap dragons wintered over and they are beautiful.
  17. I changed over to the glass bird bath. The concrete one constantly had a red growth in it.
  18. We are learning that our kindness towards animals is not always best for them. I ran across this article today. I am going to feed hummers this year for the first time in many years. I had stopped doing it for 2 reasons, the first was ending up with hornets nest under the feeders every place I put them. The other is in this article. After a few weeks they would be nasty with black mold and hard to clean. I didn't know it would hurt them, I was just tired of the maintenance. After reading this I will be more vigilant and probably use the bleach solution every time I refill. Lovin
  19. I was stunned to see the archives scrolling by and the familiar names. It made me miss the old p.com and all the fun we had. I especially miss Tbar, he is such an interesting person. He was a great contributor to this site. As far as the tunnels and the conspiracy theories I am not to sure. I think we all believe at times that the other shoe is going to drop. I can't live for that day so I make the best of every day. The thing that stresses me out when I think about it is the global shrinking of the pie. It is not changing just getting worse, common sense tells me that the 99% can't liv
  20. I believe that it is owned and operated by the IBA. My best guess would be the Paulding Chamber of Commerce. or Blake Swafford. I would start with the chamber they can point you in the right direction.
  21. I like Chi's and chi mixes. I love our little terrier. My tuxedo cat was amazing, protective and loving to all the other animals. I think my daughter put it best when it came to chi's they make you feel special when they accept you. I also had 2 cocker mixes that were incredible family pets. After those 2 I did not want anymore that needed grooming. Bear has to be brushed from time to time. It is a job, you fill up 2 grocery bags every time. I really love all dogs and cats I have had 17 dogs and 8 cats 5 dogs still living and 4 cats still living. I have rescued and re-homed almost as m,
  22. We still don't have the video leading up to her losing her temper. The tow company in back peddling fast. Maybe something was said to her about thinking she was special and shouldn't have to pay. I would hate for her to take them to court about the edited parts. I love the way people are willing to condemn her for her out burst. We only have one side of it. Actually parking in the area is at a premium. My in-sister lives there and I have seen her put twins and her eldest in car seats and come home with nothing because after driving around an hour she could not park to go in anywhere. They make
  23. Genes have nothing to do with taking care of yourself. She is in a business that requires it especially for women in front of a camera. She has a career.
