I had a visit this afternoon. Thad looks a little better. They had him sedated heavily which was a good thing rather than watching him fight the breathing tube. Melissa seemed a lot more hopeful today. They both need our prayers. Thad has multiple things going on at the same time and that is why he is so fragile. I took Melissa to a break area to eat to get her out of the room. It is not good to agitate Thad while he is on the vent it makes him wake up enough to be uncomfortable, She is an amazingly strong lady. She was overwhelmed with the 1000's of messages from people praying today. She

I guess I just don't get that stories about alternate lifestyles is shoving it in your face. That is a strange way of describing seeing and reading articles. We don't have to read them or watch them. Maybe I can relate, the 2 men I love most play the things on TV I hate the most football and Fox news I can't help but hear it and I feel it is shoved into my brain.

The message of different lifestyles is one of tolerance. We tolerate what goes on behind the doors of heterosexuals as long as what they do, does not victimize another. It is human nature to dehumanize people that are different from us. History of the human race has plenty of examples of this. Slavery going back to almost the beginning of time and those persecuted such as the Jews, American Indians, Africans and currently Mexican people. Across all cultures homosexuality has often been a death sentence. I believe that we as the human race are meant to evolve. Why would you disagree with

A trans-gender person is not like a homosexual. Their choice of sexual partner and what turns them on is way way down on the list of what they need. They are extremely uncomfortable with their sexual organs from a very young age. They are often forced to conform to their physical gender even though it is uncomfortable and even embarrassing. To understand them we simply have to imagine being forced to act like the opposite sex. They often stay with their spouses through the change if the spouse can embrace the change. I try to respect everyones choices in life as long as they don't harm ot

Not only that, it is mandatory now for insurance to cover some diagnostics no charge to the patient. It is to encourage people to get their colonoscopies and mammograms every year. This is designed to reduce the cost to the healthcare system for advanced cancers. They also cover things like chiropractic and acupuncture. Many studies have shown that it is cheaper to treat some issues that way rather than traditional medicine. Not only that the coverage is written in a way to stop medical bankruptcies. That is the worse thing about not taking the Medicaid funding, when people reach the point the

Would that be the working poor or the lifers? I am not going to get into the whole welfare issue. We had people that were getting off of welfare because of it being limited and making them work at least part time for assistance. That went down the drain with the crash. It takes time. Anyway you are not paying for their healthcare. You are paying nurses and doctors and facility cost. They have and always will get paid the same whether they treat the indigent or the rich. The issue was one of insurance companies and medicaid starving them and the entire system.

The shoe is just on the other foot now. When low income earners could no longer afford to pay for their insurance, it was oh well thats what you get. Now the middle class can't afford the premiums so I guess the rich are saying oh well thats what you get. What we are doing is plugging the leak in the ship. Just because the water level has not reached your deck you refuse to make any effort to stop the leak until it is up around your ankles. It can not stay the way it is, what is for sure we can't make it more affordable for ourselves with out it naturally becoming more affordable for all. At t

We were paying for those that didn't have access to care. Starting here at the local level, the state and national. The worse part was it was starving the health care system. Money that should have rightfully gone to providers was spent on people to refuse payment based on anything they can find. What was happening was quickly becoming unsustainable. Just before the economic collapse we sat by and allowed the low income earners get dragged under. I predicted that if we did nothing we would go down with them and we did. I am thankful that we have done something about health care before it h

I have a theory about this. As we know politics have become a game of winners and losers. One party or the other wins and the people always lose. Since neither party wanted to lose they postponed the contest until the next presidential election. Both sides decided to pass it based on one premise. It had to hurt the people, not the insurance companies or cause decline of the health care system. Remember all these politicians have loved ones with cancer and themselves that need procedures. Why make it hurt? to force the American people to support complete repeal or single payer. The presidential

Many people have been killed or beaten almost to death for being gay. This is what intolerance does. You may not agree with gay people being bullied, beaten or killed. Your intolerance creates an environment in our society where the extremist feel empowered. Many blame the victim they feel made a choice to be gay because they for some reason desired to be mistreated and ostracized in society. Just like this young man Mom of 3 wrote about, this family first and foremost is more ashamed of this young man than any concern for his soul.

I think it was awesome. The story showed gays as loving and committed people instead of promiscuous pervs as many believe. Kids understand love and commitment. Unfortunately many are taught to disrespect and even hate people that are different. We can not imagine what it is like to grow up knowing people hate you for the way you are born. Gay children pick up on it very young and live in fear as children. We can see why.

Paulding County attorney faces cruelty to animal charges

My priority is right now is having welfare checks on every animal in his possession. -
This is an interesting article and of course a controversial subject. I would like for people to read the article of course, but there is a paragraph that stood out to me. I think in this day in time people choose ignorance. You can almost predict the stupid responses the ignorant will have to certain situations. They don't even know enough to be embarrassed by the things they say. I feel sorry for their kids and the kids they will bully in the future. Here is a link to the entire story so you can read the paragraph in context So the gay agenda it to be respected and no

His farm needs to be investigated. It may sound crazy but our pets comfort is a priority for us. If it has been more than 6 hours since we have seen one of our 4 cats we get stressed out. This is just plain neglect pure and simple. He was doing something else the entire time these animals suffered. What could have been so important for 19 hours? Was he sitting in house with the AC thinking I might need to go check on them. I wonder how we can make sure the welfare of the animals on the farm is checked? -
I am pretty sure they were getting paid for the show. With every pregnancy the hype got bigger and bigger. I suspect that at some point they were using that money for expenses. Josh's problem would have ended the show and the money all those years ago. They were always portrayed a little too pristine for me to believe. I always felt sorry for the older children because so much responsibility fell on them to help with the little ones. Something about having kid after kid knowing it is almost impossible for 2 people to do everything so you do it with every intention of making your older kids hel

These animals are huge. The adults between 100 and 150. My pyr's neck fur or mane is easily 6 inches thick. That trailer was crowded with animals of their size. Their respiration alone probably kept the temp at 100 degrees overnight. I was told the house in the picture was not his nor the trailer and dogs shown. It was stock photos representing a trailer and pyrs. It hurts me to look at my gentle giant that pants at 70 degrees and think what these animals suffered. -
What bothers me about this story is not giving the ages of the girls. If they had passed puberty it is one thing. If they were prepubescent then he has a life long mental illness. Kids are sexually curious even though I think he should have been old enough to be past that. I am more worried if he belongs on the sex offender list as a pedophile. I am sure they will probably stop the show over this because they are not the perfect Christian family anymore. I am surprised that with all those kids that there have not been other issues. Raising children in a religious environment is no guarante
