Not so great here, I got a lot of flooding and washed out flower beds. The pool came very close to flooding, thank goodness it stopped about 2 inches below the coping. The lightening was so close I was a afraid to go down and pump it out. It would have been a disaster because we had to build up and terrace around the pool. We had a wall blowout of a terrace years ago. I could not do the work it took to put back to rights now. It was like it sat over us for more than an hour. A bucket I left out dry has over 6 inches of water in it! The amusing part is I must have caused it by watering th

WellStar Paulding’s Expansion Sooner Than Expected
LPPT replied to Al Lee Gator's topic in Paulding County NEWS
We had graduates that came straight out of HS into construction. Many of them apprenticed with heat and air, plumbing and electrician and stayed with companies during the recession. Some found other lines of work that they are staying in. The Mexicans operated the hammers and shovels, some roofed and they were excellent at masonry. It seems they all went home because they did not want to split their households to collect welfare. They are not coming back this time until they are welcomed. Hopefully with competent wages that are taxable and health insurance. Many small businesses were sever -
What if she had married a black man and he believed she was of his race? Soon or later he would have caught on to all the things she has to do to look ethnic enough. I think everyone would have agreed that would have been dishonest and grounds for a divorce. I think it is the same for the position she held. She may have experienced some discrimination but in the end the experience was lacking in the reality that she truly never had to tolerate it as she could change back whenever she wanted. How do you help others to develop life skills to deal with it when your intent it is fight it behi

He is bleeding into the lung where the broken ribs are. He is back on life support and heavily sedated. Melissa is exhausted and doing her best to keep it together. We went to lunch yesterday and she was so positive that Thad was on the mend. I hope if yall can to visit maybe buy her lunch or supper and give her something to take her mind off of things. I am heading out for vacation tonight and it is killing me not being able to be with her.

I just got a call from Melissa. Thad is bleeding somewhere internally. They do not know if it as around the lung where the ribs are broken or the gut. He is in critical condition, they are stabilizing him so they can do a C scan. He will be moved back to Kennestone into ICU after the scan. They really need prayers now.

There is a middle ground where LE can learn about the culture and flash points. Both have to want to meet in the middle to make our society inclusive. Skin color would make no difference without the cultural issues. At the end of the day all are Americans. We have so many Americans that protect over seas and domestically as LE. We have teachers, we have public servants, even good and decent politicians. The racial issues, the poor, the criminals are such a tiny bit of our population blown out of proportion for monetary gain. We are the majority, hard working, honest, salt of the earth.

I just read and watched the CNN article. The gist is that these teens had been invited to a pool party. The residents at the pool refused to let them enter due to a rule of 2 guest per person. Clearly the resident that invited these kids did not get it cleared by the HOA. The kids became rude first jumping over the fence and demanding to be allowed in. Of course kids don't have the best judgment but it seems they should have texted or called their host and waited patiently at the gate for them. Both parties were in the wrong. The kids were being rude and the adults that made racial slurs. At

I posted an article with that clip earlier. I don't get your point. 2 people fighting in the street is a policeman's business.

My heart and prayers go out to this family. I arrived at the scene when they were towing the vehicles. I prayed and prayed and it stayed on my mind all day. -
This is my question if we are going to take it down to the lowest denominator racism, were there both white and black kids invited to the party. The reason I ask is they seemed to be running only black kids out. This leaves people to assume the party was either all black or all white. I have not found an article stating either way, but I am interested if someone else has seen one they can share.

When she pulled back onto the road the pickup truck pulling a trailer had no time to even slow down. The passenger side was T-boned so bad that the force went in to drivers side from the passenger side. I think a lot of people are reluctant to talk about the details because of the violence of a car accident. I don't know if it hurts more or just different when our loved ones body's harmed like that. I am trying to use milder descriptors because it is just so hard on family and friends. Her family needs prayers she is no longer in pain but they are suffering.

Very honest, skilled and insured. In fact we ran into him at Walmart yesterday morning. You can call him for an estimate you can check him out without obligating yourself to use him. I doubt he will be the cheapest, he is not the most expensive either but I learned a few hard lessons from using the cheapest. Especially if they are not really IN Business it is almost impossible to get your money back. Doug is in business registered and licensed. -
I ran across another article with a short video that looks like the young girl fighting and pulling the hair of one of the moms. http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2015/06/07/video-emerges-of-violence-at-innocent-pool-party-in-mckinney-texas/

I second Doug!!! -
I am honest enough to say that I considered it honestly. I feel sorry for her pain and fear and would have been sick seeing my own child done that way. But I can tell you and my kids would tell you how I would have reacted to talking back to that officer. I have been known to say a whippin from me is better than one from the real world. Hows that stupidity working for you. Sorry!

You know as well as I young girls don't have a hard time catching a ride when a party is going down. I think she could have been the guest of a resident maybe a young girl her own age. I tried to listen to some of the conversation and I thought maybe the kids arguing were guest of residents and not pulled in by the tweets of the DJ. Those kids did not think they should have been rounded up and herded off with the rest just because they were black. It was not profiling period. Black DJ tweets party to hundreds of black kids to come party. It was a black thing before it even started. What ch

The entire thing with the little girl that chose a bad time to run her mouth looked so bad that they did not want riots and the entire side show that goes with it. If those kids had just walked off with the other kids this would be a non issue. I would have never considered disobeying an officer or talking back like that. If they were the guest of residents all they had to do was find their host and wait while the mess was cleared up. It was terrible seeing that officer on that child's back. Do you think all that pain taught her a lesson about next time? I doubt it. There is a lot of

People let their politics get in the way when it comes to media. According to the media these ghetto kids invade this conservative middle class neighborhood. When they get out of control the big white police come in and abuse the black kids. We all know the kids were doing what kids do and they were being profiled, just because they were black they were made to leave and treated like criminals. It is the same story with every black person shot or killed by a white officer. But here is the tragedy of this and all the other racial shootings and beatings. When the media tells you that la

She needed to understand that in those circumstances that her free speech was the equivalent of yelling fire in a crowded theater. Of course she did not see that the chaos of the situation was scary for an officer all by himself. This is where educating especially young black people about how to conduct themselves with an officer of the law is so important. This cultural belief right or wrong is getting young black people hurt and killed in this country. I will not support tying an officers hands when it comes down to personal safety. What have African Americans have to lose by changing?

http://news.yahoo.com/mckinney-police-pool-party-girl-speaks-121117251.html We have all seen the video and read the stories. Statement I in no way agree with what this officer did to that little girl, nor cussing at those kids. This is not a racist issue, this is a cultural issue that desperately needs to be addressed in every African American household. Was it a racist issue with the residents absolutely in the context of what was going on. Rap music with dirty lyrics and booty dancing in swim suits I will freely admit that I would not have enjoyed my day by the pool or b

Viagra For Women’ Is Backed By An F.D.A. Panel

I appreciate that as a society that we can discuss sex openly. It seems to me we have become obsessed about sex, specifically better sex. It comes in pill form, brown paper packages in the mail and even from a different partner. I think many people believe that there are a lot of people out there having better sex and they want it too. There are a lot of downsides to the free for all we have created when it comes to sex. I think the worse is how children see it way too young. They not only think about it more at earlier ages they do it earlier. They often mimic what they are seeing on on -
Here is the update from Louise yesterday. I know that not everyone has a FB page or is able to see the post so I am doing a copy and paste to keep those people updated. Daddy woke up today. He is aware of where he is and what we are doing to make him better. The feeding tube will hopefully be moved tomorrow and he will be able to talk. He is still in a lot of pain. Thanks to everyone for your support and prayers.

This was a long time coming. It needed to be done a long time ago. Medicaid is the same as most government agencies to big to micro manage. It leaves the neediest falling through the cracks while those that game the system rake in millions. Medicaid, Medicare, and health insurance all need to be abolished. There needs to be a new executive branch over healthcare that takes in money from taxpayers and from the rest of the government to pay providers and suppliers so that everyone gets the same level of care, providers get paid a fair rate, and the supplies and drugs are stocked for them. They placed a feeding tube today. There was also some bowel activity. This is from his daughters update. On a positive note (aside from the fact he is resting), he was weaned from 100% to about 30% on the ventilator yesterday. They had a lot of visitors today. The support means so much to Melissa.
