I saw one yesterday!

I don't like the assumption that the US will do single payer like other nations. I really want to see that money kept separate from the general funds or it will go the way of SS. The best thing about single payer would be the ability of providers to take the money and provide exceptional care with it. You give them the money to be the greatest system in the world and they will be. If the government decides they will make do with x amount of money just as the insurance companies have it will indeed be terrible. We have to demand more and we will get it.

Sorry it is old news. The irony of it just struck me as crazy. We have people serving years in prison for possession of this that needed to be released in every state that it is legal in any form. As soon as the feds legalize it as far as I am concerned they need to be released all over the country. Many people will be in possession of it over the legal limit as patients and providers. Colorado is already seeing issues with declining productivity in workers. I believe the free market will begin to control the use of it eventually. I know that it does not effect everyone the same as far as

They were equally scary to me. I just wonder why someone would carry a very scary weapon around openly. I don't know who you are or why you are carrying it and my government does not care if you are a paranoid schizophrenic. Nut jobs come in all colors and sizes, what is obvious is they feel that they are going to have to shoot one person a lot of times or a lot of people. Creepy!

Why do you think the President changed his mind?

Georgia police raided a retired Atlanta man's garden last Wednesday after a helicopter crew with the Governor's Task Force for Drug Suppression spotted suspicious-looking plants on the man's property. A heavily-armed K9 unit arrived and discovered that the plants were, in fact, okra bushes. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2014/10/06/heavily-armed-drug-cops-raid-retirees-garden-seize-okra-plants/ The Cannabis Eradication programs have historically inflated the size of their hauls by including non-psychoactive "ditchweed" in their totals of plants seized. In past year

Neither should insurance companies. When the right comes to that conclusion things will begin to improve. My premiums also went up. The difference is I know why rather than blaming it on the left or the right. I know that they are all in bed with lobbyist. I have said it many times if we don't change our way of thinking in this country our quality of life will continue to deteriorate. Educate yourself on the real problems, have your own ideas about solutions and make our legislatures conform to it. The Republicans did exactly what their constituents demanded don't improve it fight it. Where do

The significance of coyotes is that they are large predators. They need a lot of acreage to survive. They can carry infected ticks over a large range. Sometimes it will mostly be present in the small animals such as lizards, voles, mice ect. That allows it to concentrate in a small area such as my back yard. Large animals such as deer and coyotes will spread it quickly and over a large area. A tick lays hundreds of eggs at a time, so one tick can over a lifetime create tens of thousands of offspring with the bacteria. They are laid in the leaf trash were they can survive up to 2 years on the

My husband's youngest brother passed away from hemochromatosis last week. He was not giving blood because he felt fine.

Please do. I am following your post on FB. A warning steroids can make you much worse very quickly. If your doc does not want to do it, you tell him that it is on the rise and you know someone that contracted it in the neighborhood. I had never left Paulding the year I got it.

I can remember years ago calling for benefits and hearing tv's and children in the background. It seems to save money they were hiring anyone with a computer and phone. It use to make me so mad. The in network garbage was just an excuse to rape doctors and steal from the policy holder. I have no use for medical insurance companies.
-
I wouldn't dismiss it if I were you since we live in the same subdivision and the coyotes are extremely active in our neighborhood. If you don't get any better ask your PCP to run a western blot. Mine started out like you. It was neuro lyme. My eyes were the worse effected starting with sensitivity to the sun. I also had heat intolerance as most do.

Had any tick bites this year, rashes, bullseye?

Punishing doctors for providing for the poor seems rather barbaric especially when many people that are poor were forced into medical bankruptcy. Anybody in this country can find themselves in medical bankruptcy. It is a shame that we want it to be this way.

Actually auto insurance rates should go down with single payer. When you carry a policy that pays for medical bills they are paid until the policy is maxed out. Without a lawyer there is no negotiation for your medical bills. This means that the insurance company will pay full price(which) nobody does health insurance company or cash) when the money runs out you are paying out of pocket or your health insurance company picks it up. They did not use to have to do that and I have seen many bankrupt after car wrecks. Now they have to pick up the cost. Maybe it is easier for people to think of hea

So why are those that qualify for medicaid applying for insurance policies that they pay little or nothing for? Why not just give them medicaid where they show the card and the state pays the claim. The purpose of online health records and electronic billing to move us forward in to 1 click claims to reduce overhead. I have received man claims coded as missing or incorrect provider number. I am sitting there looking at a correct claim. I have always assumed that they are trying to hold the money as long as possible. Maybe they collect some type interest on it. Or maybe they are paying out more
-
One of a medical practice's biggest expense is filing claims and following up on them to the tune of hours spent on the phone trying to figure out what codes need to be changed to get paid. Now our health care dollars are going through the insurance claim process diverting millions that should rightfully go to providers for their services. It is breaking medicaid and practices even faster at this point. A doctor should be able to work with one assistant and an Ipad to get paid with the click of the mouse and have his money in his account by the end of the day. It is all smoke and mirrors to si

CBS46 News DALLAS, GA (CBS46) - Movies and TV are a $5 billion a year industry in Georgia, but the economic impact isn't limited to actors and producers. These productions are generating a lot of profits for some local companies, like Harris Diversified LLC in Dallas, GA. Rick Harris started the company about ten years ago after a couple of failed ventures including a home building and a consulting business. He's an electrician by trade. So when he bought a commercial generator several years ago, he began renting and servicing it; providing power for local events at places like the Atlanta Mo

I disagree. The money is there. The shortage came from those that never paid in. As far as cancer treatment you are paying hospitals, pharma companies ect. They are getting their money for their work whether someone has ever paid in. The cost that is eating up the money is administration related to the claim system. We have to work with the facts to come up with solutions. What I hear is to hell with the facts, this is what I want to believe the problem is. We can cut malpractice in 1/2 by suspending health care workers instead of everyone paying into the stupid ma -practice insurance lottery.
-
How about we write you a cheap policy that says you will not get coverage for cancer. You pay for it for years then get diagnosed with cancer. You then go home and wait to die. There are Americans that would buy a cheap policy like that. Just like the ones that paid for catastrophic for years that had a million dollar cap and bankrupted their families paying for cancer treatment..

Affordable went out the window when the decision to cut insurance companies in was made. How do you think it got passed? They guaranteed it would hurt. The why it hurts is a matter of rhetoric. We will either go backwards or forward to single payer. If we go backwards don't expect you premiums to go down. All that will happen is insurance companies dropping a lot of the preventative care that is covered. That money will now go to them as pure profit as I am sure that the reform will be written by the medical insurance lobby. The best possible scenario is to create an executive branch of gove

It seems to me that the pay rates of all government employees is public record. I have seen them pulled for teachers and other employees. It gives their name and the amount paid. If you are looking at past employment that might be harder to obtain. Maybe the secretary of state office could help you.

Everyone's insurance now pays 100% of diagnostic procedures. This and added therapies they must cover is why your insurance went up. Why pay for diagnostics? to protect us from having to cover the cost of millions of dollars for the last 6 weeks of some people's lives. Insurance has not changed. Our premiums still pay for others care. All policies are exactly the same now, just the price is different. I know my premiums have paid for prostrate treatment and cancer even though I don't have either. I hate it that many are still suffering in states where medicaid was not expanded. On the other
