    OMG!

But he made you feel good and safe if you identified as being the underdog, you can relate to being a persecuted underdog right? Just accept the warm fuzzy feeling of safety my friend. here is a here is the second barrel if you need double the lead loaded pile of love :friends:
  3. I love Cherry bombs, mascato+ cherry monster
  4. But but, he is supposed to make you feel safe in case a nut case comes in carrying a gun on his hip. Safety first young man
  5. So if you are following me in an alley and we are both armed it comes down to skill, if I draw first and my aim is better, you die and I get to claim self defense. I need to buy some ammo and do some target practice. Now it comes down to how much I like you. You might want to be nice to me, so you get to live Or practice a lot
  6. Quite honestly I am surprised that the state is even allowing this type of regional splost. Generally money is allocated by population so smaller counties always get the small end of the stick when it comes to state taxes. Honestly they simply don't care because cities are the economic engines. It is almost like smaller counties never get the chance to improve infrastructure unless they raise taxes on homeowners or businesses. Us as well as some of the participating counties have a lot of square miles to service. I think the leaders of the participating counties have done a great job in fighti
  7. I will be thinking of you, please remember that the first rule of coping with someone you love having a mental illness is to protect your own mind and heart. Now that she is free of her illness, she would want you to be happy, when the 2 of you are together again there won't be any pain.
  8. Maybe sharing this with you will help you to cope with the feelings about your loved ones suicide. People see mental illness as something that is controllable, as in we are in control of what we think and how we feel. Many see emotional problems as a weakness and feel those that can't control their thoughts and feelings aren't trying hard enough. The definition of mental illness is simply that someone's actions and thoughts don't fit the norm or that don't make sense to normal people. They don't have a blood test or xray that you look at and see mental illness, all you can see is beha

  10. That is the reason they had to come down on them so hard. What they did was against the law. It does not matter how any of us feel about a law, we don't break it or we face the consequences. I understand that painting the street was not addressed appropriately in past years, I get that, we all do. We now see that the problem was caused by looking the other way. It started with a street then moved to the sub sign, buildings and cars. So if we don't do anything then that level becomes as acceptable as the street. I can't help but think about what my momma would say about things like this,,
  11. I know that you have already retired JJ, I am looking at retiring also. When they raise taxes on the home owner it is harder on us. We don't have to pay the extra penny tax if we don't buy anything. I am pretty realistic about growth and cost. Everything is costing more not just my personal expenses but those of the local government and the folks that work for our local government. I have had a good life here, my kids have been educated here, they have played in the parks, used the libraries. My kids have gone to Chattahoochee tech and another one probably will next year. At least 2 of my k
  12. The punishment was reasonable by the school board and by the DA. I had said that if the punishments were reasonable it would divide the parents and students between those that didn't want their kids to face any punishment and those that knew the kids should face punishment. As a community we can now be reasonably satisfied that these kids were punished regardless of whether or not parents are reluctant to punish their children. I think that this was an issue for many of the people in the community, that left up to parents these kids would see little or no consequences for their behavior.
  13. I guess I simply see self defense as myself in a situation of being preyed upon, as in I am minding my own business and someone comes in my home or on my property. Or someone accost me on the street and threatens me with bodily harm. Quite honestly I would assume someone following me on the street with a gun had every intention of harming me. I am not sure if the law allows me to shoot someone because they are scaring me. I am pretty sure that if we both had a gun I would want to shoot first before they drew theirs. I don't think there is such a thing as a cut and dry law when it comes t
  14. I am going to vote for it and I will tell you why. Experts are saying that Atlanta will become a metropolis compared to NY or LA over the next 10 years. People that live in states with these large cities will tell you that these cities eat huge amounts of the state income, leaving very little for other counties in the state to run the various institutions the county is obligated to provide the citizens, such as the judicial system, DFACS, schools, and roadways. Being a very close neighbor to Atlanta and Marietta means that when the economy booms and these cities grow we will once again se
  15. For me Tabby what he is guilty of is believing that a carry permit is a form of authority. I am not sure how the law deals with this. I have no issues with people carrying guns for protection, I have no issue with the Government giving authority and training to professionals and arming them. It seems to me that the stand your ground law has made some people think they have authority that they do not have. The stand your ground law definitely needs work, on the other hand standing your ground should not automatically cost your freedom or everything you own to defend yourself. I think h

    WARNING

Miss Sophie it has been 15 years and I still can't laugh, it was a nightmare. I ended up cutting all 3 of the girls hair, we combed with the steel come every night for weeks. We would sit on the porch I would have them lean back in a chair with a towel under their head, place a dinner plate with Dawn in my lap and comb over the plate to prevent them from getting on me. When we got rid of them my girls wore gel or hairspray every day to school. Hair dye and perm lotion will also kill the eggs and keep them from hatching if you can't get all the nits out by comb. If you child has a thin
  17. Just past Sambos a little North of the ON Black bridge. I don't think it is Sambos anymore but you know the little store without any gas pumps. I am just hoping nothing bad happened, they were adults not kids, a man and a women. They were smiling and looked like they were having fun. I have seen too much tragedy on that HWY not to take the danger seriously.
  18. I keeeed you not! Coming home this evening north bound on HWY 61 a man and a women were riding south in the Northbound lane of HWY 61. I think everyone that passed them was shocked, they were careening down the side we all had to go around uphill with very little sight distance. I was shocked and upset as I watched the people behind me also cross the yellow line on the hill to avoid them. After thinking about it for about a minute I called 911. Because the more I thought the more I realized how tragic it could have been if they lost control because they were going down hill or if som
  19. As far as I know, if a kid opts out of the deal goes for the trial then the rest will have to make up that portion not paid.
  20. Ultimately this may turn out well for these kids, they entered adulthood before they left High school. They learned about consequences and accountability. Until you have a run in with the law you don't really comprehend that by committing a crime you give up power over your life. As parents we are usually the ones creating consequences and our children rebel against them, sometimes people are still in this state of mind through early adulthood. I think they may have learned a lot about relationships and friendships. I wonder what it might feel like to see your friends that did not ge
