  1. One thing I can say about you is that you have thought about what you share whether people agree with it or not. I have grown weary of bullets and sound bites.
  2. Subby, my dad does the same thing as you do, when we talk he sounds word for word just like you do about the machines having the same issues. He wants you to look at my little tiller because it is slow to start and it cranked on the first pull when he gave it to me. I hate the whole business of disposable machines, they can get 100 year old machines to work now a days, but 6 month old machines are sometimes trash. They don't want people like you to be in business, they want folks to buy another machine. I listen to my daddy and you when it comes to yard machines!
  3. Just call me with a time and day and I will be down there to show you. The cakes are beyond beautiful. My birthday cake was wonderful. I wish I lived closer, I would be a regular!
  4. There is a Barbq place that has been empty on 61n for years, maybe they would be interested if the price is right. I often wonder if they have been asking too much because it has been empty for so long.
  5. Who wants a man fighting with you over beauty PRODUCTS
  6. I have to admit I miss chest hair when it comes to popular media. The pin up that walks around my house is fuzzy. The young ladies on here use to give me a hard time when they were putting up pics of what was hot and I put up a pic of Tom Selleck with chest hair. Now that is sizzlin!
  7. Yep I like my fruits and veggies, but I also like lean meat, mostly beef cakesteak.
  8. Uh, I am having trouble concentrating, wha da ya talkin bout? Did you see the appreciated facebook share? Nothing wrong with a healthy indulgence, you know carrots are good for your eyes, I eats lots of carrots
  9. I didn't see any muscles, just pecs and broad shoulders, I will look again more closely
  10. Life would be boring without the huge assortment of fruits and nuts. Why do you think they call it Almond Joy
  11. And then some sharing brings a little smile to your face
  12. Hey Ive got a paint program I can create crap and thousands will repost it. I can be a legend in my own mind
  13. It doesn't kill time it murders it like watching paint dry
  14. I guess the world would be a better place if we were afraid of our husbands
  15. I admit to facebook acquaintances that never say a word, they just repost or share some silly saying or picture, This one kind of stumped me when I got halfway through the list, I kinda got it, but I kept wondering about the line that just didn't come across, as well, not necessarily such a bad thing like the other things on the list seem to be.
  16. I drove around and didn't see anything, no fire trucks in Windmill or Burnt Hickory. Some kids may have set off a bottle bomb, a 2 liter bottle is enough to shake windows.
  17. My point was the honesty and integrity of the companies top executives. Americans have lost enough money the last few years when leaks of questionable business practices have come to light. It seems now they are acting a lot more quickly on this type of info. Wal-Mart stock slides on bribery probe Link NEW YORK (AP) – Shares of Wal-Mart Stores fell nearly 5% after a news report alleged executives at the company's Mexican subsidiary carried out a vast bribery scheme and tried to hush it up. Wal-Mart's stock price fell $2.70 to $59.75 in midday trading, wiping out it
  18. What is disturbing about the story is that we expect one of the largest single employers in the country to conduct business with honesty and integrity. As a nation we put a lot of trust in corporations especially when they become to large to fail, when mismanagement has the ability to bring a country to it's knees then we have every right to expect them to have integrity. We have a history in this country of nurturing large corporations, with tax breaks and laws and regulations that benefit them as job providers. We see what has happened in the past when we have looked the other way.
  19. Pine mulch breaks down quickly and makes the soil even more acidic, I use wood mulch. If weeds are a big problem put down plastic sheeting and put the wood mulch over it. You will have to make sure to water around the base of the plants, but they will hold moisture longer. They also have landscapers cloth that does the same thing and the water goes through it. They will do fine there.
  20. Your lot has a steep slope and that is what makes it so dry, Lantana would work really well, get the perennial, Elrods had landscapers flats 18 plants for about $18.99 I think. The knock out roses will also go well with your soil and the landscaping you have started. Just dig holes twice or 3 times the size needed for your perennial every time and back fill with good soil to allow them to root well the first year and water generously that first year.
  21. Right off what I see is a lot of orange soil, very little mulch and an over hang very close to the ground which usually creates a very dry area. Pull what you have up in the fall, condition your soil, change your down spout to get the moisture in that area, replant and mulch heavily. For all of my shrubs I dug huge holes and back filled with good black soil and composted manure.
  22. Did you notice the tree has a face on it?
