And I have always (well except for one year) felt that Matthew has had great teachers and school staff working for his best interest. So I have been blessed. We have not had issues like some parents that I have heard about.

I can honestly say that I know/understand very little. I rely on the relationship that I have developed with the teachers and that they also have Matthew's best interest in mind. I know that is wrong on my part. But when you don't fully understand then what else can you do? I also rely on the help of other parents who have been there before me to help me with words of wisdom. So I am very excited to go and listen to this and learn. I would bet that most parents also are the same way.

what is a thinkpad? I will be looking for a laptop for my daughter for Christmas. I need a laptop though and not a netbook (or whatever they are called). But I am waiting until Nov to get one.

I predict that kids will go out both nights. Hit houses with lights on Saturday then hit the ones with lights on on Sunday.....So be sure to have your porch lights off if you are not doing it on those nights.

Northwest Exterminating vs. Terminex Ok I got an estimate from each. Terminex was cheaper because they charge $150 a year compared to Northwest at $280 a year....this is of course after the 1st year. The price is basically the same for the first year. So Northwest offers the Sentricon bait system. Terminex offers the Termite liquid defend system. So now I need the good, the bad and the ugly with these companies. Feel free to pm me if you don't' wanna post on here. We are leaning toward Terminex because they are cheaper but I wanted to get some input before I decide. I apprecia

I tried to turn on my tv yesterday with the remote and it wouldn't turn on. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until my daughter told me to check the remote. I was using remote 2 on tv 1....my son turned off the tv and changed the remote with the one in my bedroom. No wonder it wouldnt' work. He has done this before so you would think that I would have thought of that.....but NO. It was funny though.

Can't wait until Nov. 7th. We are dropping ATT so fast. I got into a new contract with them right before they switched to ATT and have had crappy service since. We were happy when they were Cingular but not happy since. We are planning to go with Verizon. We have had Cingular/ATT for over 10 yrs. Ready to tell them to stick it.

Not to mention the evening that she darted out in front of my car on 278 as I was approaching 92. It was getting dark and my headlights were on. I about hit her. And she stopped right in front of my car cussing at me. I was on the road where I was suppose to be. It is a matter of time until someone has to live with the fact that they stuck and killed her and more likely than not it will be her fault.

Less than 10 years ago, my grandmother got a VCR. She called me to find out how to load a movie in it and work it. I had to drive over there and show her how to use the VCR. She had no clue how to put the movie in it.
