  1. Naw. I think I've outgrown that part of my life!
  2. Howdy. Not much time for pcom any more, but I do pop in every couple months or so to see whats going on. Certainly won't be anything like "before"...
  3. I read posts like this and think back to the early days of pcom. There were some real entertaining days back then...
  4. One of the few shows I watch on TV! Makes me wish for a simpler life...
  5. How many of these transit workers wear Che Guevara or Malcolm X shirts in their off time? Or Slander Tea Party participants? Wonder if they’ll ever have to worry about getting fired for exercising their right to free speech?
  6. They are not easy to hunt. They will follow the lay of the land and greenery perfectly to keep you from getting a shot. They'll hide from direct light and will seldom rush in on a call unless they are right on top of it. Some of the funnest and scariest times I had were hunting them... They are small dogs, but the pack is very smart and very dangerous.
  7. McCleary Martial Arts has a boxing fitness class that is pretty good. It is fitness based, but you'll learn a lot of the basics. They are right off Cleabnurne Parkway.
  8. Yes. I had a coyote jump my fence and take one of my chickens once...
  9. Today congress signed in to law a 10% on all tanning services. This was put in place instead of taxing cosmetic surgery.
  10. Calm down buddy... I have read your posts in how a junkie can pass a test. I'm not questioning your knowledge or experience on this. If you'd taken a moment to read what I wrote and not jumped to conclusions you could have probably figured out someone with a drug problem isn't going to be able follow a normal workday schedule and program and would weed them self out that way. No need to test. Heck, If someone can be a crackhead and function normally without being a danger to others I'm not sure I really care if they're doing it or not.
  11. Has anyone used a tanning bed instead of the sun? Temperatures could be more controlled.
  12. I wouldn't be against a drug test, but I'd be much more inclined to see some tangible results from those on welfare programs. Maybe you get a month to find a job, but after that you're working for that which is being given to you. I say we put in something like the programs used for community service. These individuals must "server" a certain amount of hours each week or lose their benefits. Its a win-win at that point. Money flows and work gets accomplished. Those on drugs would probably fail with the above so they'd weed themselves out of the program. Be a great way for those really loo
  13. This study might be interesting to those with MS or know someone with it. Full Article is HERE
  14. Do you need to be a chamber member to attend?
  15. I think many expect prosperity to be given to them these days. Working hard for something isn't politically correct now because anyone who has something has been labeled as getting it because of a silver spoon. America isn't the great nation it once was because people refuse to put in the work required. The government does nothing more than take productivity and give to the nonproductive. The problem we have now is people now have a since to entitlement for being nonproductive. People used to shun welfare and use every effort in to not needing it. Now we have millions of people doing their bes
  16. Nothing is forcing anyone to stay employed at their current job. Quit if you don't like it. You have two choices, either continue working or quit. I get tired of hearing employees complaining about their jobs. You have the power to leave. Not directed at you CeeJay, just making a blanket statement.
  17. Times are really hard right now and I think people should be happy to have jobs. You might be tired of hearing it, but quit your current job and see how quickly it is filled. The new employee will probably come in cheaper that you're currently making as well... Then see how long it takes to find a new job making what you are now. As for unions... I can't think of many things I dislike more. I have to work with unions at times and hate it. In my opinion unions are a main reason we have lost most of the manufacturing jobs in this country. Anyone that has had to deal with the idiotic procedu
  18. Our son was in sent to ICU when he was born with a ruptured lung. He spent about a week in there. We had bills coming from so many people it was crazy. I called the insurance company and they told me to only pay what was on our insurance statement. We had reached our out of pocket max at that point so she said we didn't owe anything else. Everything is supposed to go to the insurance company first and then they figure out what is left. After talking to them I simply ignored the bills and they went away. I had one Doc that was pretty persistent and called a couple times. I told him to bill the
  19. Hate to break it to you, but we're actually better off here than most other places I have been. West coast? They are in bad shape over there. Everyone knows it and feels it. If you think you lost a lot of money on you home you should talk to a few of them. One the guys I was working with lost $200,000 on his home he bought two years ago when he sold it last year. He lost salary and had to sell because he couldn't afford it. East Coast? Basically the above but maybe a lil-bit better. There were a lot of areas devastated when the financial markets crashed. FL? Talk to home owners d
  20. Sending PM's to those above. Bumping for the rest. I understand its been a long while, but I am just now getting settled down...
  21. It looks like I'll be in town for a while so bumping this up.
  22. I might be interested in this if I'm in town. Give me a reason to try and shed a few pounds...
  23. Island Tan has Tux rental starting around $75 for everything.
  24. I'm bummed I could not find a sled anywhere today. I looked at some a bit back but passed... kicking myself now.
