  1. We are planning a trip to SoCal next year to visit some old friends. We want to stay at DisneyLand and let the kid take in all the sites, especially the new Cars theme park as he is in love with that movie. I have seen a lot of tips and advice on DisneyWorld but wondered if any of you have an experience with DisneyLand. We want to stay at the park, most likely will do the meal plan and 100% will do a charcter breakfast type thing. I know the park is smaller so how many days do we need? We are planning on spending 10 days in Cali and want to have at least half of those to visit our friends w
  2. I guess her point was over your head...but hey, you resisted the urge to use a smilie so thats something.
  3. Oh, I know. ....and someone can have my unicorn. That rainbow colored sheeze is impossiable to get off the bottom of your shoes.
  4. I'm beyond the point of giving two cheezes what the offical reports say. I'm more interested in what I see in the real world. Most of you know that I run a chain of retail stores for a major holdings firm. Folks my work tells me the economy is not getting any better, and infact is getting worse. Sales are down, week over week, month over month, year over year and it is DIRECTLY linked to consumer confidence and jobs. Prices of every day goods are going up and up and up. The average grocery bill has gone up. The price of gas continues to go up and down but never below that magic $3
  5. I am a know it all Yankee for Kentucky liberal that is to conservative and shouldn't be allowed to post because I know longer live in PC...oh, and I'm short (that's my favorite one)
  6. It's not just foreclosures. I bought a home in PC for 150. Sold it for 85 when I had to move for a job relo. Found out the folks I sold it to then "fliped" it for 50K. So in 3 years the home lost 100K of its value. That being said not every part of the country is as over built as PC which has an obvious impact on value.
  7. I wouldn't push for the tax payers to take on this increase but I see why owners do it. I heard on Fox news that New Orleans will see a 30-40 million dollar boost to the economy with the Super Bowl being in town between resturants, hotels, extra tourist etc. The issue I see with ATL is the same issue Detroit had when they hosted....everyone stays in the 'burbs and the city doesn't see the big revenue boost.
  8. When was the last Super Bowl held in Green Bay?
  9. This could all be solved it the folks that own resturants paid their servers themselves rather then asking their customers to do it through tips. Of course then the price of a Cheeseburger at Chillis would be about 30 bucks but still.
  10. If your sex life is based on who does what chores you have a sad sad marriage. Just saying.
  11. Mr. Blank I wasn't aware you posted on this board. ....by the way, I never refuted the reasons, I just stated that fact that the Dome is (and has been) outdated for some time and if you don't refresh it you won't see a Final Four, NCAA Football Title game or Super Bowl in ATL.
  12. Why wouldn't he? ....and yes there are older stadiums that still host the Super Bowl and NCAA Final (Rose Bowl, Super Dome and Miami's Stadium) but you are missing other factors. The Super Dome was newly renovated and while the outside isn't as pretty as the others the inside is top notch. The Rose is historic, and Miami is in Miami. You aren't going to get an NCAA final, a Super Bowl or a Final Four to the GA dome any time soon without a new or improved stadium. Ok, we can't go that far. The Lions have one of the best stadiums in football after all.
  13. Honestly I have no idea what I ever did to piss in your oatmeal. Put me on ignore and show some self restrant as to not open my replies and you won't have to "listen" to me. It's not that hard.
  14. Couldn't tell ya. I'm not from Ky. I just happen to live here. You two are perfect for each other.
  15. Still don't get that whole WORLD wide web thing I see. By the way as this was on SI and ESPN.com I consider it NATIONAL news. ....and now I see your boyfriend is here. Stalkers much?
  16. The Georgia Dome is WAY out of date and if you don't think that directly impacts the events it can draw in you are kiddiong yourself. While I agree the city and state shouldn't pay for it, the stadium is very outdated. The AlamoDome was built at the same time and is barely used anymore. The last thing you want is a vacant stadium. Check out these stadiums that have been built since.
  17. Wings. Pizza. Beer. Thats all you need. If you want to add some Breadsticks or Jack D. that works but it's over kill in my opinion.
  18. You just described my cousin to a tee. He had to move to Italy for work. The look on his wifes face when they started house hunting was priceless....wait until she finds out there is no room to drive her lifted Yukon.
  19. Best investment we made in a while is the Dyson. First time we used it we were in complete shock at how much dog hair and dirty it pulled out of the carpet...and we had just used or other vac earlier that day. Zero complaints about it or the money spent.
