so when the history major ends up having to get a job running a retail store they can do the finance paperwork. Very few people end up doing what their degree is in. College isn't a trade school, it's an education and makes you a well rounded person with a speciality in one field. Not everyone is meant to go to college. If you don't want to do the math, science etc. then go to the milatary or a trade school. Sorry but I don't buy into this theory that there aren't enough options for some sort of secondary ed out there. There are PLENTY. Espeically in todays age of internet colleges etc.

Sorry but kids have to have the basics in all subjects, thats just the way it is. Most high schools offer shop classes etc. and there are A LOT of trade schools for post high school. TONS. Turn on Speed Channel and you will see ads for some really good mechanic schools. Are you suggesting that this training be offered for free? I just don't see where the issue lies - it certainlly is not in lack of avaiable trade schools.

The whole story is just bizzare and really not believable from either side that is being told. Now you have other football players that aren't connected with him saying they meet the women, and others saying they too feel for this guys same hoax. Frankly I'm over any small interest I had in it although one of my favorite weekends, the NFL Draft will surely be distroyed because this is all we will hear about.

There are a few folks on here that should take that advice.

You will notice that for the most part the only people that claim kids don't need a college degree are those that don't have them. The fact is you need some sort of secondary education no matter if it is a trade school or a traditional four year school if you want to get past 10 bucks an hour now a days. There are a few exceptions but those are very rare. When McDs requires a degree to be a manager it should clue you in pretty fast the rest of the world is going to want you to have one as well.
