The Home Depot I worked at was right under the flight path for Detroit Metro and a small business airport. I remember how silent it was. In the days after the store was very slow, not much foot traffic at all other then people stoping in to buy flags, so we all helped load supplies to send to ground zero as we were less then a 10 hour drive away. Sitting in my office approving cabinet orders for a clients kitchen at the Home Depot store I worked at. I had been there for a couple hours already and didn't have the radio on so I had no idea it happened. My co-worker that did the field work for the store came in and told us. The rest of the day was very weird for lack of a better word. Some peole kept their appointments, others canceled. I remember really not knowing what to do. After a while watching the coverage was just to depressing but I felt guilty NOT watching it. A dark day to say the least.

Today I just bought season tickets for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. It is their first full year in D1. They just got their butt handed to them by Tenn. and will be lucky to win 2 games but I just love going to the games, tailgates etc. Go Tops!
