  1. Bottle water is a waste of money. Only time I will buy one is if I'm at work and have a long presentation to give, need to have a bottle just in case I start coughing. I live dangerous. Tap water, no filter. I even drink from the hose if I'm out doing yard work. Such a rebel I am.
  2. Just reporting whats on their website - no need to be an asshole. http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/atl/ballpark/security.jsp Given the way they searched my wifes purse at the last game we went to I wouldn't want to deal with the hassle even if they were allowed.
  3. You can't bring coolers or drinks inside Turner.
  4. My father has the Caddy truck. Its nice because it is fancy enough for him and my mom to take to a nice dinner and have it valet'd etc but he can go to Home Depot and pick up some supplies. He doesn't "load it down" with lumber etc but if there is a larger item he wants there is room in the back. They aren't work trucks by any means but they are convienant.
  5. Its a message board. Take it personally? Never. Do I know that there are people IRL I wouldn't get along with because of their views and what they post, of course.
  6. Ever lock your keys in the house or car. Same concept. GEAGirl that is to funny, can't say I have ever seen that before.
  7. No one can answer that for sure but the common sense answer is because they can get it. The job market is bad so if they can get some one with that much experience at entry level pay why wouldn't they attempt to? They would be stupid not to. Odds of them actually doing it are much different. I would apply for those jobs anyway - you never know what will happen.
  8. That was a fad? I do that just so the sweat stains don't show.
  9. I know what a techicial writer is/does. Didn't know you were one/going to be one. Don't really pay that close of attention to you, Sorry.
  10. Where did anyone say anything about a history degree? I didn't even know what your degree was - I thought you were attempting to be a teacher last you posted. I just knew you weren't an engineer so your personal job search is not applicable in this case.
  11. I agree that it is hard to find a trend in this day and age but at least in the auto sector they are going that way for the time being. Every day experienced engineers are let go and a crop of fresh faced college kids is introduced. I assume it will bite them in the ass and they will have to then attempt to hire people that know what they are doing. I know in my field the issue is that there just aren't many experienced people that are willing to work for a resonable wage. Its worth the risk to take a college kid and hope they are trainable then over pay for a potential bust at triple the
  12. No argument there. My biggest beef with the unions is that the line workers now make more then the engineers that are un-union. Everyone forgets about the poor guy that spent 40-50K on college, works for 50K a year, and gets laid off. All they pay attention to is the over inflated numbers on the news about the line worker making 120K for sweeping the floor and gets all outraged.
  13. Grunge. Flannel. Skater Bangs, Chuck Taylors, Doc Martins and backward baseball caps. Still rock the Chucks and the Docs. Somethings are always in style.
  14. When did you get your degree in engineering? You are a sample size of one and in an entirely different field then the one Subby is talking about. In the fields of engineering etc. most companies are hiring fresh out of college to save money. Unfair statement Subby. Nissian's N.A. HQ is one of the worst offenders of leting senior engineers go and replacing them with grads right out of college for 1/4 of the departing persons wage.
  15. I'm feeling your pain. My new top of the line riding mower has been in for warrenty work 3 times due to piss poor design, one more and they have to give me my money back so I'm praying it breaks soon.
  16. Sure because it means real football will also start to be played as well. As much as I love to watch my Wolverines I must admit that "big time" college ball is starting to annoy me. Its bascially a minor league for the NFL. If I want to watch pros I'll watch the NFL. I'm really starting to get into the D2 and smaller schools - kids that play the game for the love of the game. Its fun stuff.
  17. TV you can watch everything online now so you wouldn't be missing much. of course not having ESPN News on 24/7 would take a while to get used to.
  18. More ironic. A guy driving a early 80s diesel Benzs talking about how people need to buy smaller cars to lower their carbon foot print. I'm just saying.
  19. Not really to be honest. NASCAR and all racing have very little to do with the factories anymore. They simply get their parts from them and in most cases a lot of cash. That car was built in Carolina just like Tony's Chevy and Carl's Ford. Also I have to respect Red Bull racing, they actually gave an American a shot in F1 for a few years. I love Indy racing and they all run "Hondas". It pains me more to see the every day working Joe drive one off the lot.
  20. Still waiting for you to back that statement up. I won't hold my breath. How about this, the wheels and tires on the cars in the pics aren't the same as a smart car so that should be enough proof that it isn't one. I drive a Ford Focus back and forth to work every day and feel perfectlly safe. But I also have no fear or riding a Harley in traffic etc. Accidents happen. People get killed in them. Some drive Smart Cars, some drive big SUVs that isn't going to change. Drive what you are comfortable with, and leave me the TRUCK alone.
  21. If anyone needs someone to drink for them please don't hesitate to call.
  22. Thanks for the tips Subby. Good news for me is I didn't have to pay for it but I do feel sorry for the people that do have to fork out cash. Little bit nervous though as they did put a new tank in - they even brought me the old one when they delivered the mower back. God help 'em.
  23. FINALLY got the thing back from service, been using their really nice rental in the mean time at no charge. It was a bad gas TANK, something about the filler neck being molded wrong. It was causing a vapor lock. They replaced it under warrenty. Never heard of that before - just thought I'd share.
  24. Dunkin' Dounuts is hands down the best coffee. Extra Large, 2 Splenda very light cream. Bowling Green (where I live now) has over 300 resturants - more per captia then even Las Vegas, yet they don't have a Dunkin' Dounuts, life ain't fair. I settle for Starbucks.
  25. Ahhhh Facts. Who needs 'em when shock value is so much better.
