A Web Site Where People Can Communicate
retiredteacher replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You know, Pubby, if you could franchise the way Pcom works and teach others to do similar sites in other communities, the world would be a better place. As for me, I guess I'll have to stay in Paulding forever or do without the info and laughs I need! -
I Just Found Out My Triglycerides Were Still High
retiredteacher replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
He takes lipitor for one. I take it, too. We have heart disease in the family as well as diabetes. He's seven years younger than me and has had diabetes longer. He has struggled with all of his "numbers." His blood sugar numbers are awful and he takes enormous amounts of insulin as well as oral meds. His numbers have been high for years but are going up... -

My BF and I attended one of these when she was going through chemo and it was very good. They came home with some make-up, too. Don't know if yours does that. The Cancer Society does that, right?

At least it divides evenly, wouldn't want you to fight over the extra pennies. -
I've had 2 who were/are declawed. Neither of which I declawed. BTW. My Sassy who was the love of my life was found as a kitten and my brother wouldn't let me have her! I kept her for him for a while and she was the lovingest kitten ever. He took her home, had her fixed and declawed and she started biting. When she bit him on the chin, he gave her to me. It took me a long time and a lot of loving to stop her biting. Sammy is my newbie and seems to have no issues that I have discovered. He's 15 and was declawed by his previous family. Cats can have biting and litterbox issues whet

I have four cats with claws. It didn't take any time to get them used to using the cat tree. In fact, none of them has ever used the furniture. I rubbed catnip on the posts when we got it and they took to it right away. When they declaw a cat, they don't just remove the nails, they actually cut off the first joint. Kind of like having all of your fingers cut off at the first joint. I'm older than most on here and as I age, I realize that my stuff is not as important as those I love.

I can see you there, Denise. Can you think of something I can make for you? We can make pillows from Ashton's shirts or whatever you want.

This is from a 2007 article in the AJC: So Atlanta owns 10,000 acres of Paulding? The Atlanta City Council on July 3 approved an ordinance to sell 162 acres of land to Paulding County for $815,000. In 1975, Atlanta bought 10,165 acres of Paulding County property at $925 an acre as it investigated the possibility of developing a second airport for the metro area. But now Paulding County Airport has begun building a new regional general aviation airport and asked to buy a small portion of Atlanta's land for the project. To buy back the land, Paulding County paid $5,030 an acre, incre

Ashton Bass has passed away: 6/10/09 *UPDATE ADDED*
retiredteacher replied to kerstinamber's topic in May they rest in Peace
Denise, I'm so sorry for your loss! I simply cannot believe it, and pray for your strength to surface now. I know you are both heartbroken and am praying for peace to envelop both of you. Ashton has left you with wonderful memories and is now telling Jesus about his Nana and Papa who made him so happy on earth. Whatever, whenever I can help - just call! Love to you both, Carolyn -
If she gets worried about getting dirt under her nails, tell her to scrape a bar of soap and get the soap under her nails before she starts working. It works for gardening...

No, the little bitty cassettes hadn't been invented then! Just a regular cassette. I hid the player under his bed while he was playing in his room. -
Hey, Subby, I just looked and you and I have the same birthday! However, you were born when I was in college!

What about voice cassettes? I made one of my oldest son talking when he was a toddler. If I can find it, I'd love to have it on a CD! -

Dang, Shawna that is huge. I pulled off the road on Cartersville Hwy to try to minimize damage to my car. It was really bad there and farther up 61 where I live, but none of ours were bigger than a golf ball!
