JMT, you would know, seeing that you're a sooth sayer these days.
-
Okkkkkay JMT. You've entertained me this afternoon, there's no doubt of that!
-
I'd say that there are more than enough folks still TTKUWTJ to keep that phrase alive and well. I don't care what the Jones are up to myself. Unless they are buying a round of Guinness for everyone.
-
Have no clue how you got that out of what I said. But, ohhhhhhkkkkkay. Especially in light that I thought you brought up good points. Nope, wrong. Actually it was "2witty4u" who first mentioned the President -- but if this mini-Soapy-bash made you feel better, then good for you! Come on MCMM, if it's not Obama's fault, EVERYONE knows it's Soapy's.   I'm deeply, and I mean, deeeeeply touched at how much attention you paid me today. Gosh... I feel special. GET WITH IT 2WITTY4U!!! IT WAS ME WHO STA

Neither is acceptable. Both are inexcusable. Both were rude, childish, and completely unprofessional.  Now THAT was funny!
-
I agree 100%. But one is of far more importance in my book, than the other.
-
Yep... he's not someone you want as a "role model", and last I checked - he wasn't really trying to be one. He's a rapper, and a very successful one at that. I think I just read that his last tour grossed $42 million dollars. That's HUGE in today's market where a lot of tours *lose* money, or barely break even. And between he and Kanye, Lil'Wayne is far more popular. Which was the point I was making somewhere up above, before folks starting twisting it all up.
-
Funny that some of the very people who are screaming about Kanye didn't give a rat's ass about President Obama having to deal J. Wilson.... and THAT was an occasion where there should have been a high level of respect and decorum! Imagine that!
-
I agree... but he is liked by the kids. I was making a comparison.
-
What a sweet story!
-
He is NOT a role model for any of the young people I know. My son is in 7th grade at a predominantly black middle school. The kids do not like him. They think he's stupid, and that his music is cheesy. Now, Lil'Wayne, that's a different matter. I don't even think he would have stooped this low myself. As for your lack of surprise.... Have no clue what that's even about.

Poor quality, but shows it all.

Good points. And who knows? Maybe if it were planned, Taylor was just not in on it? Hard to say. Either way, I wish people would keep it in perspective. It was, after all, an MTV video music awards. It wasn't like it was some really formal event, where people are expected to have a certain level of decorum. Was it rude? Yep, you bet. Was it crass, and uncalled for? Absolutely! Is it the end of the world as we know it? Oh, for Pete's sake, no - it was a video awards show!!!

Word. However, Serena showed her lack of maturity, and how easily her ego can override her common sense (if she has any).
-
Oh, that's really neat!
-
A lot of people are saying this -- sorta like the Eminem and Bruno setup.

I would think the testicles would have to be removed completely. At this point, hormonally wise, she is far more a "he" than a "she." I'd like to know what her chromosomal testing showed myself. She's *NEVER* had a period in her life. She didn't develop like a normal female child, even developing a deep voice and somewhat of an adam's apple, as well as a masculine physique. I think that they absolutely had to know that something was "right" since she was at least a young teen or preteen.
-
Sad case overall. But the fact remains she's not 100% a woman, and clearly has an advantage over other woman who are.
-
After five years on here? Um, no, I have not saved every PM!!! I try to clean out the PM box from time to time!
-
ALL of the stupid "ED" commercials. Shesh, give me a break. No, I really don't care, and don't need to hear about it, nor think of a "chubby Santa." Ugh.

Where Were You on 9-11-01, When You Heard About the Twin Towers?
SoapMom replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I got a phone call from a friend, turned on the tv, and watched the rest unfold on CNN. It certainly is a day that I shall never forget. -
I agree 100%. [it sounds good though, and gives them some feeling of accomplishment I think.]

I couldn't agree with you more! And due to our local school board opting to take one of the three furlough days wit Labor Day, the kids here didn't get to see the speech in school!! And I hate that. This being a rural area, with a lot of minorities, it is a hot bed for teen drop out, teen pregnancy, etc., etc. The very children who need to be inspired and encouraged the most didn't get to hear the speech, and I doubt that most of them heard it at home. Which was the point of doing it at school!

It's one of my niece's 23rd bday. Pretty special day to me!
-
I'd say that's one articulate 2nd grader, who certainly hit the high points of what the President said. Most excellent!
