We just came in from Chattanooga and saw three wrecks between Acworth and Hiram. People be crazy out there. -
Can you give us some examples of "American products"

OK.... but we're not talking about buying GM, we're just talking about buying a car or truck. Which truck is responsible for the most American jobs? My Tundra which is made in the US with 70 something % American parts; or a Dodge that is made in Mexico or Canada with fewer American made parts? And be careful what you wish for; with the current direction of the US automakers, someone like Toyota could be the largest American autoworker employer in the near future. if that happens, will they be the "most American?"

Part of the problem is that it's been difficult to recreate the problem. Hard to fix a problem when you don't know what's causing it. I suspect they weren't so much trying to cover up the problem, as trying to figure out what the real cause is. In regard to all this "buy American" sentiment; I completely support that in concept. But people need to realize that it isn't so cut-and-dry anymore. We have "American" cars built in other countries, sometimes with Chinese and other foreign parts. And we have "foreign" cars built right here in the US with more American made parts than most other ve

I'm also supportive of the "domestic" automakers; I have a Dodge, 2 Fords, and (counting on fingers) 11 GM trucks. I also have a Honda that my daughter drives. I'm just pointing out that having a Japanese sounding name does not mean it's all Japanese. You should also factor in the outside companies that manufactures some of the parts for automakers. Since the Tundra uses more American-made parts than Ford, Chevy, or Dodge; it seems that buying it is at least as good for the US economy as buying one of the others.

And it contains more American made components than most "domestic" trucks. The lines have gotten blurry<br><br><br> http://www.tundraheadquarters.com/blog/2009/07/03/25-vehicles-less-american-than-the-toyota-tundra/

I have an '08 Tundra that is part of the recall. No problems whatsoever (so far). From what I understand, the gas pedal issue was on higher mileage vehicles; mine only has 25 K. I'm not the least bit concerned. OK, Toyota screwed up; but compared to most manufacturers their record is outstanding. There are problems that need to be addressed, but this whole thing has been blown waaaaaaaaay out of proportion. They will fix the problems, recover from their ills, and become a great auto maker again. PS...this is my first and only Toyota, so I'm not a "Toyota man"; I'm just seeing

Women have an unfair advantage with that crying stuff.

You should just be able to put 12 volts on the motor to see if it runs. But if they quit after you turned them on while frozen, I would suspect something broke in the linkage.

I agree, but that's because the government stuck their nose where it didn't belong.

That is a very reasonable salary for his position; if he's performing. Leadership of the caliber necessary to run huge companies don't grow on trees, and they will require healthy compensation for their talents. I really don't care what a CEO makes. In a truly free and competitive market, salaries will be driven by a companies success and profitability. I should point out too, that his salary does not affect your or my pocketbook. One of the political forces in this country has used envy as a tool to rally voters. This is ugly, and in conflict with the very principles that our countr

There are lots of companies out there that advertise "specials" like $29.95 "tune-ups." Don't fall for it, that is below their cost and these tactics are used to get them in your door so they can sell you something that you desperately need </sarcasm> A legitimate HVAC company will need to charge at least $75 - $100 for a service call. On such a call, they should do an inspection of the vital parts of the system, and advise you of any problems found. Checking "freon" this time of year tells me you have a heat pump. If it was low he should have added charge to it unless there was some

Just FYI... Sam's Club has green tea extract with hoodia. I have used it for a long time. It is safe, and will give you a mild energy boost too. And, it's fairly cheap. Green tea is also an anti-oxidant, which may help prevent cancer.
