  1. You may find it absurd, but that doesn't mean it's not true. You want their exact quotes? Here ya go: "If I could have banned them all - 'Mr. and Mrs. America turn in your guns' - I would have!" - Diane Feinstein "Banning guns is an idea whose time has come." -U.S. Sen. Joseph Biden "Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal." -U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno "Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us are totally disarmed." -Sarah Brady "Our main agen
  2. And you are a damned fool if you believe that. Joe Biden, Diane Fienstein, Sarah Brady have ALL stated that their goal is to COMPLETELY remove ALL firearms from the citizenry.
  3. While, yes, you CAN indeed just plug most wireless routers up and take off running, I suggest you not do that and to get a friend or someone who knows how to configure one properly, assist you in setting it up. Simply removing one from the box and plugging it in, giving you a connection is a BAD idea. You need someone who understands how the security protocols work and can help you set that up with a password, a username and password on the router itself, and set you up on something other than the default subnet that it comes configured with. Otherwise, you are installing an open
  4. Yes, there is a distance from the sign. 300ft inside the city limits and 600ft (1/8th mile) outside city limits. § 40-14-9. Evidence obtained in certain areas inadmissible; use of device on hill Evidence obtained by county or municipal law enforcement officers in using speed detection devices within 300 feet of a reduction of a speed limit inside an incorporated municipality or within 600 feet of a reduction of a speed limit outside an incorporated municipality or consolidated city-county government shall be inadmissible in the prosecution of a violation of any municipal ordinance, c
  5. Now, when are we going to start talking about banning all the materials used to build bombs? This is the EXACT thing we've been talking about. Insane people will do what they are going to do, firearms or not.
  6. +1 Also check some of the technical colleges. They often have night classes for adults who want to pick up a new skill without taking a full diploma or degree course. Another place to check is the high schools. I don't know if they still do it, but back when I wsa in school, the schools would have night classes and industry pro's would come in and teach a class. They taught things like small engine repair, home DIY remodeling, etc...
  7. Yeah, I have an 80 gallon in the shop... and I have a portal air tank, but it's a little bulky for the car. I have an "emergency kit" in all my vehicles and I have a small compressor in each one.
  8. Small Inexpensive Air Compressor I have the bigger version ($79) of this in all my vehicles. Not a real heavy duty thing, but works great for emergencies and occasional top off's.
  9. Three things: 1) Parents were actually parents, rather than trying to be a friend. 2) Political Correctness 3) Personal responsibility.
  10. From what I understand, it's going to be an "elite" gun club.... nice and expensive to join and shoot there. Kinda reminds me of the snooty gun club in Beverly Hill Cop II. The basic membership is $400/year.
  11. Not really... Welfare wasn't as rampant back then.
  12. I got my first .22 lever action Browning (which I still have), when I was 5. At 7, I got my first .410 shot gun and started hunting. At 8, I started shooting my father's .357. At 10, I started learning to shoot a semi-auto pistol... my father's .45 Commander. At 12, I shot the gun that hurt the most, my great grandfathers 8 gauge. Yes, I grew up around and with guns all my life and was taught from day one to respect each and every one of them.
  13. That's odd. If the deer are in your yard, then they are committing a crime. It is illegal to shoot across someones property, without written permission from the owner. If they shoot a deer and it runs on to your property after they shot it, they are legally allowed to enter your property to retrieve it. Next time, for an instance like this... call the DNR. As far as shooting in general... The laws are... You are outside the city limits. You are not in a sub-division. You can shoot on your property as long as the round does not cross another persons property. You are a
  14. Yes, all departments (except for sheriff and fire) are off when there are furlough days.
  15. I understand your point, but there are some slight issues. First, a police officer is not all that "highly trained" with a firearm. Most police officers, have a week of firearms training in the academy and they qualify 2 times per year. With the exception of SERT and SWAT teams, that practice more regularly, the average police officer isn't any more accurate than a trained individual who goes to the range a couple of times a year. Not trying to take anything away from police officers. I wouldn't do their job... it does take a special type of person to do their job. But, as a fir
  16. It's not a holiday for the county, but the offices will be closed for furloughs.
  17. What she stated is hardly speculation. For "In The Know," you aren't. Take a look at Australia and then tell us how unsubstantiated that claim is... Read This... And this... Or even this...
  18. Yes, the law is on the books. Have you read the law? Yes, it says that each head of household is required to maintain a firearm for the residence. However, it basically gives so many exempts that the law is not enforceable. There are exemptions for religious beliefs, medical conditions, and just personal beliefs. The law itself has very little bearing on the Kennesaw being a quite community. ...and quite honestly, the law, if enforced without the exemptions, would be um-Constitutional. With that being said, Kennesaw is still primarily and 'old school' community, w
  19. Yea! Did you figure that out all by yourself? Yeah, I posted two links too. You can read, can't you? My links actually show that the violent crime rates are dropping and continue to drop all while firearms sales are going through the roof. Again, blows your theory out of the water.
  20. Yeah, your theory is full of holes... it sucks. It's inaccurate and you post only the little bit of information that supports your view. If you posted ALL the information, it proves you wrong.
  21. And once again, you fail to publish the WHOLE story. Washinton Times Monday, June 18, 2012 Last week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that violent crime decreased 4 percent in 2011. The number of murders, rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults all went down, continuing a pattern. This Graph, on FBI's crime stat page shows the real picture with violent crime. Here's another from the FBI's crime states, that shows a violent crime reduction by 17% between 2007 and 2011. All the while, gun sales have skyrocketed, setting unprecedented records. Kinda blo
  22. Yeah, which is over 10% higher than Georgia. First, I didn't say Illinois, I said Chicago. I said look at the cities. Looking at the total state skews the numbers because most violent crimes, including firearms, happen within the larger cities. Try again.
  23. Yes, they make them. They are round drum style magazines and they are quite bulky and make your rifle quite cumbersome and ill-handling. They are also rather expensive.
