I understand what you are saying but... I read it as the part in the quotation marks was the quote from the other person. But even if that were not the case there is nothing in there that shows he agrees or disagrees with any of it. Where does one person's thoughts end and the next begin? I can't help but believe they concur. If I am wrong let's let them come back and tell us so.

For the record I was a CCPD officer before moving to a different department. I did not see rampant stupidity among the officers. Most came out of the military before this job. I also know that with my class there was over 600 candidates for 14 positions. Those 600 were the ones that scored over 90% on the written exam. Then you still had to pass an agility, shooting and driving test. Then the interviews, psyc. And medical exams and the background check had to be cleared. And even with all that they still cut 4 of the last 14. Then we went to 7 weeks of Mandate school then to 16 weeks of advanc

You are right abou the stock market and the really scres me because of this Meanwhile, repeated rounds of quantitative easing have fueled stock gains to the point where some economists say prices may no longer be reasonable."Asset prices are higher than they should be based on fundamentals. Companies are making profits, but they're not making profits off of higher sales -- they're making profits off of constraining costs and particularly labor," said Catherine Mann, a finance professor at Brandeis University and a former Fed economist. The longer QE continues, the more dramatic stocks could

One of my favorites from him... in my best Paul Lynde voice. " back in the days when the men were men, the women were scarce and the sheep were neeerrrrvous."

I find it hard to believe that CCPD would arrestbhim for stiking a minor when the minor struck him first. Self defens is NOT precluded by the aggressor being a minor. Not doubting they were arrested but there had to be something else. Even if they did do this then the DAs office should drop the charges when they see the story. I would love to read that report. All I can say is Wow! Amazing...

Have you stopped to consider that what you are saying is actually their plan. After all if mom had a job and chose to quit and stay home, there would now be an open job for somebody else to take.

Again... pick any new minimum wage you want to. Adjust all wages to cover the increase in pay by percent. WE MUST BE FAIR ABOUT THIS!! It is blatantly unfair to have the government dictate a 100% raise to all making $7.25 / hour bringing them up to $30,000 / year and telling those making $8/hour TOUGH... you earn more than minimum wage and get no raise. Then you must also increase the wages of all the other workers because now you have unskilled burger flippers earning what certified michanics, teachers, fire figthers and police earn. Are you actually goint to try to defend the concept that t

Yes, like I said, if you make that assumption it makes sense.

my daughter plays at Braly as well. We have been there for many years. There is typically a spring and a fall season. I believe they will use their uniforms for at least 2 seasons unless they outgrow them. We have come to love that program. We do travel now with Cherokee being the furthest and Cobbs Mud Creek being the other. The feilds are behind the jail off 381. And I even get to see Kyro there from time to time.

I did simply ask her for clarification in a very nice way and got a very snippy answer as I predicted. She did not inquire about what I didn't understand nor attempt to clarify anything. I ask you... does that attitude promote to betterbor worse conversation? If someone , even her, said they did not UNDERSTAND one of my posts I would gladly attempt to clarify what was meant.

My point was simple. Readers will have to ASSUME ones = workers and not jobs even though you never specifically stated that was the case. I read only your post as it was short and the last in the topic after I skipped to the end to make a post in reference to something else. Please forgive me for clinging to the notion that my grammar teachers drummed into my head that all written comments should be able to be stand on their own and be understood by the reader WITHOUT having to require them to pull information from previous statements in order to fill in ambiguous comments with missing r

Did you bother to reread it. It does not make sense. I read English quite well and only asked you to proof it so we could understand the thought you were trying to express. I will go back and read itva fourth time to try and decipher your intent though.

What are you trying to do? Hire someone for day labor help, hire a crew cheap goet a lower bid or have someone show you how to build a fence. Most crews will not take you on as a worker on your job. Let me add this story. Years ago I helped my sister and BIL build their house. I was contracted to roof it, do the interior trim and paint the interior. That is everything I was to do. But there was a lot more added as we went. Rebracung the attic strapping the basement. Installing other things builfing extra footings. With all that my BIL always wanted to help and I would credit him back his t

In regards to MW as a whole. We are without a doubt in a period where jobs are scarce. The principles of supply and demand ALWAYS hold true. So since jobs are scarce the price we pay is high. The contrary is also true. There is a glut of employees out there that means their price is low. There is competion for jobs and none for employees. Employers are free to pick and choose the employees they want from a large pool while employees have very limited choices to make from employers. All of this leads to lower wages and less benefits for employees. That is just the way it is right now. And even

I'm sure you will turn this into an arguement but here goes anyway. I do not understand what you said. I get the words but not your intent. Could you please try that again. Thank you.

I am wondering about this. I rarely see anyone do what I do and leave my buggy atvthe end of an isle in front of an EC. So who else is doing this? It is not as common as blocking an isle rhis I know. And on the outside there is usually room for 3 to 4 people to pass each other. So how is 1 buggy standing at the EC for 30 seconds possibly holding you up? I quess I will just yield to gour demandss and make yoy and everyone else fight to get by me in a confined area. No problems butvthe next time I get a dirty look I will bring this topic up. "I'm sorry to make you wait but apparantly it is even

Do you often talk to shopping carts? But on the other hand the outside isles are far wider and if you were talking to my cart for more than 20 seconds chances are that I got pinned in by other shoppers with their carts.

If you go to the humane society on fairground in Marietta, by the Civiv Center, they have coupons that you take to your vet that reduces the cost of spay / neutering. They have them outside so they do not even have to go be open to get one. I did that a few years ago. I do not believe you can go online and print them but that may have changed. HAH did ours and I like them. There is also another vet on Brownsville at 92 behind the Chevron. They have great hours and are very reasonable. They fixed my lab's eye afterbshe got in a fight.

to be clear. I leave my buggy at the endcaps outside the isle or other " out of the way" places. I will never purposely block or allow my famiky to block an isle. My kids know to wal behind the buggy. My son still need to be reminded of this occasionally. He usually fibures it out when he tries to squeeze himself through a 2" gap between the buggy and a pole. That usually gets the point across.

Typically one would not see irony as a part of grocery shopping. Well today while at the store I realized the irony of the situation that I was bringing onto myself. It goes like this. I have realized that when the stores are busy it is hard to maneuver your buvgy up and down the isles. You always seem to be stuck behind folks who take the entire isle or will park right next to another shopper blocking the whole isle. So for years now I have been leaving my buggy at the end of the isle and walking in and out to get my stuff. Really works quite well especially since I tend to know what I want /

I can only speculate on things but from the stand point of experience with that kind of child and the legal system. The inditement indicates a failure to support not any kind of abandonment. Even if I took my kid to DFACS and left him with them LEGALLY, I would imagine that as the parent I would still be somewhat responsible for financial support until the case is settled. Maybe that is where they have vallen short. Again, that is just a guess. As far as the child goes, I have one like that and we have been researching incorrigible child laws. We may be forced to sign him over to the state

I hope things have imptoved or will improve for your family. S iyuations like youts and yout reaction to it is the reason I do support these programs in concept. Most do not want to be ther and will do anything to get off thosr programs. Those folks I want to help. I have paid folks, that i do not even know, bills forr them. Personally I prefer them to be prescreened by a legit volunteer assistance program like helping hands. It is hars to figure out who is truly in need without them especially since I do not know them. Part of may paycheck goes straight to my employers assistance group every

This reminds me of the movir Incredibles. In tje beginning we meet Bob Mr. Incredible working at an insurance company. He has a little lady in his office who needs help with her policy. He gives it to her and then gets called into the bosses office in regards to his help. Preety fynny but still it seems to show the mindset here between how some see insurance and others see it.
