There are basically 2 types of discs. The first tupe you have to put all the data... files, pictures or whatever into a que of sorts. When you get it all in you burn it to disc. When you are done the disc is locked. You can not copy any thing else to it. The second kind is a rewrite disc. It works the same as the hard drive.
