  1. Allright now Ms. Marcos. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imelda_Marcos
  2. Well he pretty much just told you right there Zoo... If you had bothered to read the article. As you like to so often accuse others of. And what was the growth rate we need to support a decent recovery again?
  3. Pm me if you want a name and number. One of my firefighter coworkers works for a gutter company.
  4. I have been experiencing equipment problems that my mechanic says is caused by the alcohol (ethanol) in the gasoline now. So now I even have to pay extra for fuel stabilzer just so that my equipment will not tear up. So in my lawncare business I have to pay substantially more now to get to my clients home. Then I have to pay extra to run my equipment. Now I even have to add in additional costs just to negate the negative effects of the additives that the greenies have forced us to put into our fuel. I got news for folks, Lawn Care Service is VERY fuel dependant. How am I supposed to keep my r
  5. WHAT ERROR?!? I believe fuel prices are hurting our economy now at $3.50 / gal. You insinuate that at $4 / gal it will some how be better?!?
  6. Oh... OK... silly me. It is on the isle with the baked beans.
  7. Well according to some, we really need to be paying more for our fuel. And since the Economy is in such a strong recovery, we really did need this to help keep inflation in check. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Rising-oil-prices-beginning-apf-1311732829.html?x=0
  8. Why? Even more if you count the pairs I keep getting out of your vehicle and putting in the garage. She tosses shoes around like most women toss earings.
  9. I feel for ya. I broke mine while at Disney World. (kicked a lounge chair's foot that was buried in the sand) Not much you can do but take anti-inflammatories and pain meds. Wear some loose fitting shoes. RICE in the off times. http://sportsmedicine.about.com/cs/rehab/a/rice.htm
  10. Maybe resaurants should just go ahead and add a mandatory minimum tip to all meals. You would be free to add more at your own descretion but would have to speak to the manager about poor service before he would remove the servers tip. Seems like a fair way of doing things. You are not absolutely forced to pay any given amount but in order to go down you have to give the management a critique of why. I will say that over the course of the last 2 years I have seen service go way up. I have only had one time where I tipped poorly because of service. Macaronis at the Avenues for lunch. Service wa
  11. It is ok to talk to yourself. It is a problem when you start answering yourself.
  12. Man... then I would have no place to sit. My wife continualy tell me to grow up.
  13. I did see the accident. It appears that the Explorer pulled out from the theater entrance and hit the vehcle going towards 278 dring them into the vehicle pulling into the theater. I am glad that you are alright. It did not appear that there were any injuries when I drove by.
  14. 1. We always try to get a booth so we can pin them in. 2. We prefer a booth WAY in the back. 3. Should punishment be needed we will work our way up the list but I WILL NOT BE TOLD I CAN NOT use physical punishment. I will use it even if I have to drag Dis jr. out behind another building kicking and screaming to do it. We have visited the back side of Petsmart before, we will go again if needed. 4. I have a right to go out to eat with my family but I do not have the right to ruin someone else's meal. It may be briefly interupted, but it will not be ongoing. 5. I greatly appreciate all folk
  15. Orthodox Judaism 100% Muslim 97% Roman Catholic 59% But I was raised in a Lutheran Church and attend service with the wife in a Baptist Church. I do not get a whole bunch out of it because a always yearn for more of the "todays message / life lesson" from the Lutheran church than the whole Salvation / Getting right with God sermon. I kinda look at as a been there done that, can we please move on to a new lesson now.
  16. Excellent point. I have een this time and time again. That is why I am such a RICHARD about people putting their feet on the dash. They have no clue what will happen if that airbag goes off with their feet up there. But you can still tell what caused it, head or airbag. But I weren't there so I really don't know, just speculating on what he was thinking. :drinks:
  17. Just a thought on that case. If they were involved in an accident and there was "punkin" marks on the windshield with corresponding trauma to the passenger's head, then there is PC to make that citation whether they admit it or not. Then on the other hand should they deny that it happene in the wreck then the driver would be guilty of driving with a starburst affect of more than 3" X 3". Either way, they get a ticket. I do not believe in unduely punishing people unless they are complete A holes. Then I would find every violation available. Most like the judge will roll them over into "lesse
  18. When I became RADAR certified, I threw my RADAR detector out. It is about useless. When I ran RADAR, I had to observe the vehicle in motion. Determine its speed visually and then use the RADAR to confirm my analysis. The amount of time the unit was broadcasting was less than 2 seconds on average before I would lock the speed in. Imagine Pushing a 2-way rocker switch in the approriat direction, seeing the speed register, listen for a clear tone and then pushng the set button right next to the rocker. That is all I had to do with the unit. Everything else was visual while not broadcasting ANY RA
  19. I would like to see your sources. Especially for the last part. The interstates were "designed" to allow the easy transport of military men and equipment. At the time it was designed 80 mph was a really high speed for the vehicles and technology of the day. A 1957 Chevy, while possibly able to go that speed, would be a real chore to drive causing great fatigue on the driver. Plus there were about 75% fewer vehicles on the road then as compared to now. As far as European nations, the city speed limit is flat out a max of about 35 mph. most of their driving is done within the city boundries. The
  20. RADAR is quite operable while in motion either way. The only instance that RADAR can not be used is while travelling the same direction. Your speed can not be obtained by RDAR if they are following you or you are following them. In that case they have the speedometers calibrated so as to obtain a speed under those circumstances. GA law requires all jurisdictiona other than the GSP to allow the 10 MPH over the limit. GSP can write a RADAR ticket for 1mph if they like. Personally, I would not write for less that 15 mph over. Reason being, if I had to risk going to court on my off day, then

  24. In the fire Dept we have had form called a PCR ( patient Care Report). We use that sheet to get the patient's information. Things like Name, Address, DOB, Medical history, Medications, allergies and vital signs. These forms were printed in a 2 copy system. We would keep one and give the other one to the ambulance crew so they would not have to waste time repeating all those questions. Now, in order to save money, the county has stopped providing those forms and has put them onto the employees forms data base so we can print them off. So now we are having to print off (using the fire station's
  25. There is a point that many seem to be unaware of. This is specifficaly regarding the Board of Comm. The Board of education is a whole seperate entity and are not part of this budget. Therefore any cost saving ideas for the school system will not help the BOC.
