  1. What kind of idiot runs an experimental aircraft right next to a no fly zone? He's gonna get ground up in to little pieces before they are done with him. And as far a challenges, unless they are willing to make the airspace a free fire, shoot on site zone, you are not going to stop stuff like this. And if they did, what happens when the downed aircraft kills 40-50 tourists in the street? Nope. All they can do is fine the carp out of anyone that does something that stupid.
  2. We are using the NEXT program for the two kids who wanted new iPhones. I'm wondering if they will force NEXT on those buying the next big thing from Apple, the kids had the money to buy the iphone outright, but AT&T pushed for us to use NEXT (I guess so we had a "contract" with them)
  3. They can't take all the dirt from the pumping stations out at once, it would be too obvious that major work was underway. it will take six months to bring in it out in concealable amounts.
  4. Like ^^^^^ I was thinking that this morning as I read about in the AJC. If these had been politicians rather than teachers, they'd walked with a slap.
  5. Simple: They have been having issues with water in the tunnels, those stores are major intersection points and will have to have floors torn out to put in pumping stations to clear the water. Thus "Plumbing Issues"
  6. Once the suspect shot, proving: 1) He had a loaded weapon and was willing to shoot it and 2) He was stupid enough to endanger innocents by firing it randomly then I guess the cop that hit him decided he was a proven menace to society and need to be stopped at all costs. I'd thought ya'll would be jumping for joy that the cop didn't just jump out and shoot him 8 or 9 times. it did look to me like the cop tried to sideswipe him (Impact was way left of the camera), not hit him head on which would have been much more likely to kill the suspect.
  7. For those of you with lots of trimmings and tree branches to get rid of that you usually burn, don't do like I did last year and forget that the burn ban starts May 1st!! I ended up looking at that pile of branches for the entire summer. Wife wasn't happy.
  8. For some notes on how NOT to build a shed .... http://www.bcsportbikes.com/forum/showthread.php/146566-Build-to-Fail-Fail-to-Build.-What-is-this-I-don-t-even..... Day 2 pictures are on Page 5. Day 3 pictures are on Page 7 Note: Some language in some of the postings...
  9. On a statistics basis if you look at all injuries. I don't even know if they keep stats on personal attacks on particular profession due to them trying to perform their job function. So Police are some different. The vast majority of road worker deaths is caused by idiot drivers not paying attention, not deliberately trying to hit them. Same with Truck Drivers, I'm sure accidents are the vast majority. The garbage man did surprise me to make the list. I'm going to have to see the details on that on. I do think the writer has a point about the arming of the police. It worri
  10. It depend on if murder was picked to get him off, or because if he went with manslaughter, you'd see Black Lives Matter screaming that it should be murder and protesting and crap by people who don't understand the difference.
  11. Sounds like I might have been correct: From a Defense Attn on CNN:
  12. Yea, since I got double burned for 5 grand by a transmission shop in Dallas, (paid for rebuild on 2 different transmissions, both failed again within 15,000 miles, guy had gone out of business) I went to the dealer and bought a factory rebuilt with a 3 yr warranty. At least I was pretty sure that Chevy wasn't going to go under any time soon.
  13. It concerns me too. Of course, none of us like to think that we are one moment of bad judgement away from ruining our lives, but in many ways most of us can be even without a gun and of course, people covering up their mistakes is a time honored tradition as well. Pull out in front of someone who dies trying to avoid hitting you and hitting a tree instead, do you admit fault if no witnesses were around and go to jail or just claim they left the road and hit the tree while you were watching? In this case, I would hope that an autopsy would have shown that all the shots were in the bac
  14. The northern unit has been on for a week or so. With all the bathrooms in it's zone, it HAS to be running or the humidity will hit 100% quickly. My wife has a shower she's giving this Saturday, so I'm sure the Southern Unit will be on by then.
  15. If that's the one where he shoots the guy 8 times in the back from 40 ft away, he's going down. No excuse for that. You may be pissed he is running, but it's not life threatening. (Unless he's a known terrorist, or on the 10 most wanted or or something like that) You carry a gun, you have an additional responsibility to keep your emotions under control. He failed.
  16. Going down 61 at lunch, you could see literal clouds of pollen coming out of the forests. Yikes!
  17. Dang. My Dad and Mom had their house partially burn, the shop on the side was destroyed and the Attic had burned, but just water/smoke damage below. ( I did lose most of my coin collection that my grandmother helped me build as it was stored in the attic and the fire hoses blew it all over the house and yard) It was still almost a year before they could move back in and get on with their lives. It is pretty bad even if the house isn't a total loss.
  18. LOL, sounds like my daughter to a tee! We went to a wedding Sat Night, she wore a beautiful dress. Everyone complimented her on it. (She's 21 BTW) Sunday morning, my wife and I had to be at church early, so we woke her up and said see you there. She comes in looking like she's wearing PJs and an old shirt. <sigh>
  19. have a pack of ribs in the freezer.... wish I'd read this about 4 hours ago...
  20. Wife loved it. Then again, she married me, so her taste is questionable...
  21. They need to check her travel vouchers... I think she's been to the Mile High City a few too many times....
  22. We have soccer friends here in Paulding who have been spending a lot of time in the gold dome trying to get this passed. Their daughter is autistic and epileptic and they want it to try to reduce the seizures. As long as it's not "high" producing, (Low THC?) I don't see the point in blocking it. It's like any of the other natural supplements, they haven't been tested completely, you are taking your chances, but that's your choice. in a way, it's kinda like hunting regulations as well. The legislature has to pass any changes to the hunting laws and most of them don't have a clue w
  23. Duh. It was a brand new bridge, what does that have to do with "crumbling infrastructure". AFAIK, the Gas company owns the lines, not the govt.
  24. Gotta love the extra verse, no matter what you think of the rest of his music... The perfect country music verse.
  25. That is one of the issues that is being discussed with a lawyer is how valid this could be. it was NOT the hospital chaplain, he refused.
