I beg to disagree! We elected the officials to the commission and as mayors not to represent us on other boards. I did not even know that they did until this whole thing came up. It needs to be corrected in my opinion.

This effort by some folks I held in high regard has saddened me.

More weakening of America. Seems to be the pattern of this administration. We need to vote them out. Just hope there is a way to mend some of the damage.

I would not be in their shoes. I would run away from that government/religion as fast as I could.

There is a difference in my opinion because Islam is not only a form of religion but a form of government. To them they are one and the same. I for one stand against that oppressive form of government cloaked in religion.

Do you get the feeling that being a gifted kid is not so great? Some folks just can't stand the idea that it might be OK to be smarter than the average bear. No wonder some kids try to hide it these days.

You can't make equality about quotas. If you try then you have created inequality.

It may say that on paper but it is not happening in the classroom. How long since you have been in the classroom or had a child in school that made you keep yourself well informed about what goes on in today's schools. Unfunded mandates and cuts in funding have changed things. I am going to repeat something gog8tors has said, this tread is about cuts to the gifted program in a school because of diversity/race. You need to stay on topic.

The point about the lottery ticket is that you should never buy one if you can't afford it because you probably are not going to win. It is a gamble. I never said I had money to burn.
