Both of my daughters live in Virginia. The oldest in Norfolk, and the youngest in Williamsburg. Thankfully they weathered the storm just fine.

I got nuthin'. Kids and boyfriend are at work. Laundry is going, and I'm snuggled up on the couch with my little dog. No drama to report. Thoughts and prayers for those affected by the storm.

thank god i'm not single anymore. the irritating little dog used to bite my feet when i would steam mop the hardwood floors.(only because she figured out that steam is hot) so now the new guy takes care of things like that. he's convinced i'm fragile.

Ps. When you hear sirens and see lights, slow down and move over. Even a driver without professional training should know that. Also, do you know what 'could have' means? That it didn't happen.

Paid leave is standard protocol every time there is an officer involved shooting. Believe it or not, not all cops want to kill someone...the mental an emotional toll that it takes warrants the officer having some time off to be investigated and go though some counseling and an evaluation. Peeing your pants during a shooting only proves one thing to me....the officers are human and experience the same emotions that you and I do....instead of being the killing machines that you'd like to make them out to be.

i wonder if the warrant is public record? i think they have to list specific items that are being sought, it's not just a free pass to come in and snoop around a residence, but i don't know if a person's name has to be listed as a suspect, or if it can just be an address.

by the way.....if you wanna go see a scary movie sometime soon....
