  2. Yay! I missed them last time they played the Cove. Friday night I will be at the Cove with the Band Benefield. This is the first time the whole band has played there, and I'm really excited about it. Saturday night, Bubba and the BoneSlingers are at CrossRoads Grille. Even though I've seen him three weeks in a row, I never get tired of my Bubba Dew!!!
  3. Thanks for the info! This Saturday night it will be loud rock/southern rock. Hope to see you there!
  4. Crossroads neighborhood grill is the venue name listed on the band's schedule. But....if the Tavern does live music too, I'll need to check them out.
  5. Dunno yet. The address is Cedarcrest. I'm looking forward to checking it out Saturday night.
  6. Since when is there a bar and grill at crossroads that has live music? This is pretty dang exciting, even if it may be old news to some. Has anyone been there? A friend of mine is playing this weekend, and I'm looking forward to going. Any heads ups or reviews?
  7. regardless of the year, if you're making more money sitting home that you would make working...why not stay at home?
  8. wow. how in the world can a company get away with paying 250 a week today? for a full time job, that's $6.25 an hour. highly illegal to pay that sort of wage. glad you cancelled the interview!
  9. how much are you making today, compared to what you were making in 1996?
  10. Had dinner there tonight. Am stuffed. Ready for a nap.
  11. it's not looking good....but you and your friend are welcome to come sit on stumps with us around our bonfire and drink beer/wine/liquor/shine. i sure am going to miss the bar scene. *sigh*
  12. Love American Style and Three's Company were pretty 'racy' for the times as well!
  13. I found Billy's Place in Cedartown.... sounds like my kind of place!!!! A Google User reviewed 5 months ago Overall 1 / 3 Liked: Not bad if you want to drink cheep. Disliked: A skeevy den of thieves
  14. god, i hope so! looks like i'm going to be spending a lot more time out that way soon.....
  15. american hoggers. they have a show for a reason. :nodding:
  16. did you fill out any paperwork?
  17. Is it just me, it is anyone else wondering why no one noticed a starving kid on a bus, alone, in between here and LA?
  18. i'm so glad you got to go to Aimee's ride!!! i know a few other folks that went and they said it was truly amazing. all the way to Roopville without having to stop at any lights? so cool to be escorted like that. i hope that Aimee felt all of the love of the community that was surrounding her. not sure about this weekend. we've been committed to Mableton Rocks for quite some time. i definitely plan on stopping by and showing some support, but will more than likely be in the cage. i will keep an eye out for you!!!
  19. I can't believe he said it here.
  20. It would take a lot for me to part with my cowboy boots or my swat boots. The rest I could live without, happily! Although, I would walk around looking considerably younger without makeup. Sucks when your boyfriend is in his late 50's...
  21. I'm fine with pony tails on men. Even older men. The ten ponytail thing is usually to keep long hair from blowing like crazy while riding a bike. Not every man knows how to braid. I also like long/full/bushy beards or goatees!
  22. thank you.....please let your brother know just how much we love and support his extended family. i've gotten quite close with Diane and Peggy over the past few months, as have several of my friends. (not sure which side of the family they are on) Shelly and Jessica are beacons of strength and are teaching us all to be humbled by god's grace. everyone who has had the opportunity to meet them or hear their story has been touched by the quiet dignity that Jessica has always managed to exude, even on her roughest days. edited for: double post
  23. if having an issue with the previous sign at the bar is good enough reason to not support a child dying of leukemia, then 'yay' for human rights groups. i still think it's sad for people to focus on negatives.
