  8. public servant. so that would include any teacher, including college? if a 35 year old college teacher wanted to have sex with a 35 year old student, it would then be illegal. who would this protect? i'm not sure who else would be included in the public servant title. i'd have to do some more thinking on that one. one question. would it then, under the new guideline you've proposed, be ok for a teacher who had no influence over a 16 year old student to have sex with them? like, if the teacher and student were at different schools? and again, why does this need to be a law? w

  14. it's very different than that, though, furnishing alcohol to a minor is illegal. having sex with a 16 y/o isn't. do i agree with this law? not necessarily. i think that a solution to this would be to raise the age of consent to 18. most kids are graduating by that age. however, putting hours of thought into this, as i have..... you can't say that it's legal for 80% (yes, i made that up) of the population to have sex with a 16 year old, but illegal for a teacher to do it. grounds for dismissal? certainly. my employer would fire me in a heartbeat for having sex with a co-worker. it's t
  15. loophole? the law clearly states that 16 is the age of consent. where's the loophole. 16 is 16. whether you're screwing a teacher or a walmart greeter. i still don't get how that law is written improperly.
