my hometown publishes a blotter in it's weekly paper. shows mug shots of thse arrested, and also follows up and convictions and acquittals. so, if you get your picture in the paper, sometimes you have to wait as long as a year (depending on the crime) for the actual story to get into print. but at least they tell the the outcome. not just a sensationalized splash for ratings and then no details later.

yep, it's time once again for my annual 'pass out in the pool and wake up fried' ritual.

dang! switch boxes with me? j/k mines completely out still. so's the guide function. and the dvr function. i'm sure i'll have to go swap out the box tomorrow. we took a really bad hit yesterday evening in the 'storm'.

it's my 'first reason not to get arrested', for a dang good reason!

the first reason being....jail sex. right?

rain? won't stop me. lightning and hail? party's over. i'm hiding under the bed.

100% chance of getting wet at my house this weekend!

i'm absolutely heartbroken over the death of my red phone. man, did i have some pics stored on that sucker!

we're on a lil bit of a slope as well. we built a box, filled it with sand, leveled it, then set the pool. yes, there was colored string, a pentacle, and surveyors equipment involved, but not of that was really necessary.

that would just make too much sense, wouldn't it?

i doubt i'll spend that much this year on the new pool, chemicals, the water to fill it, and the power to run the pump. really, if you have the room for one, i recommend the above ground easy set. like i mentioned, i went with the 18ft. it's 4 ft deep and there's room for 5 people on floaties, stretched out. we set it really close to our deck and built a gate that opens to the ladder. cheap, easy, convenient.

my new employees hate me and are staging a revolt. month end + holiday weekend + hostile take over = me eating crap and losing sleep.

hooray!!!! come see it this weekend too.

i put an 18ft blow up pool in my backyard for 300 bucks. i have no idea what a summer long membership for a family would cost.

double batch of triple chunk chocolate brownies. i been a lil stressed.

bout an hour and a half here. happy to be able to watch criminal minds, in the airconditioning.

yeah. hit by lightning about 45 minutes ago. no power. i'm assuming the traffic lights are out. heard sirens for quite a while.

sloppy joes (sauce came in a can) and tater chips.

50 now. and.... i see some folks i know down there!!

two guys and a truck? i dunno. i always make my husband and brother in law lug my junk. we've moved 4 times in 6 years.
