mine has gone to work everyday. ive been stuck with my kids. which is nice. they're never all home at the same time voluntarily.
-
I'm the baby. obviously.
-
sweetheart, we're in the South.
-
did he wake you up by being loud? or were you up anyway? I have no clue what time my kids go to bed. even on school nights. but...they get up and go to school on their own every morning. micromanaging just isn't my parenting style.
-
thankfully, I don't have to be at the airport til 6 am on Saturday. hopefully it'll be all clear by then. good luck to your hubby.
-
rodneys breakfast is awesome. I hope its not cancelled.
-
perhaps the op needs new window treatments???
-
crap. I hope they're at least open on Friday. I need to withdraw my kid so he can start his new school in illinois next week.

I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I am having an affair too...... not sure if the gossip is gonna stop or get worse now that my supposed boyfriend is driving my truck. after all, it's normal for the explorer to be parked in the driveway overnight, right? take that! nosey neighbors!

ive enjoyed having all the kids home. it was amazing to watch them get all bundled up, and keep adding to each others layers, until they were ridiculous Michelin men! them to see them out front, working together to build a snow fort.....that was pretty funny. the homemade snowboards scared me a lil bit, but...no one broke any bones. I stayed busy doing load after load of wet kid clothes laundry....but didn't mind a bit. tons of snacks were prepared and consumed, along with at least a gallon of hot chocolate. these are precious days. my kids are grown, and will be all moved ou

you can't please everyone. period. someone is always going to be bitching about something. I for one, had a fabulous day. I knew better (on Friday) than to try to go to work today, or anywhere else for that matter. watching my kids play in the snow all day, then having a wii marathon with them this evening was heaven. it's too bad that some folks can't exercise common sense and enjoy a damn day off. I feel for ya, I really do.

this is why I make no promises.
-
yep. my kids walked up there earlier today. came home empty handed. then told me the store was closing in a few minutes. I didn't even have the energy to beat them. it's a sad day...
-
I'd like some wine. but am too lazy to walk. besides, walmart is closed. I thought I stocked up on Friday. obviously, not well enough.
-
which is exactly what the OP was admonishing folks for.

all 4 of my kids are out in the neighborhood somewhere..... I'm staying in and managing home base. finally got the fire burning good and the first change of kids clothes is finishing up in the dryer. water is heating for hot chocolate or tea. muffins are all eaten so I'm gonna break out the deli trays. they're certain to come wandering in,, cold and hungry, wanting to change clothes AGAIN, any minute. those homemade snowboards cant last much longer... I haven't seen any grown up neighbors out.

Why do people get out when it gets like this?
NumberCruncher replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
ummmm. there were those people who thought the school system was nuts for announcing their closures so early. perhaps folks of the same mentality volunteered to stay at work late....and not jump the gun? -
He's fine. cold, but fine. playing in the snow in the front yard. kids.....
-
unfortunately my kid didn't get off work till 10. and now he is in a ditch on east paulding drive. thankfully it's a short walk home.

my husband is expected to be at work at 6am. at the Marietta courthouse. if he doesn't show, the guy working tonights shift will be stuck working tomorrows. he's going to make every effort to get there, even if it means he will be the one trapped tomorrow night. crazy. I'm putting together a survival kit for him to take with him. -
here kitty kitty....

hurry! but drive safely. and don't drive while medicated, unless you have plenty od practice and can avoid wrecking or getting a ticket. also. it's your turn on words....
