Over near Atlanta Rd in Smyrna, the house I grew up in was recently bull-dozed. There are now two new houses twice as big built in it's place. The lot was divided and now two very expensive homes are there. I think we're starting to see revitalization of old neighborhoods will be the newest trend in the top Metro areas over the next 20 years. Invest in well-located property in the core, not on the outskirts. Most folks don't want to live in Yorkville and drive all the way to I-75. They'd rather be in town near nice dining, shopping, employment, etc.

I'll admit... I'm shocked by this election.

I strongly support this amendment. Many schools around the metro area are chronically failing, particularly those in lower income areas. The local school board doesn't seem to be able to fix this, year after year. When you have graduates that truly can only perform on an 8th grade level, it shows the local school systems have failed miserably and the educators don't seem to care. They just keep on taking our money and keep kicking the can down the road. With this new law, maybe the governor can get things straightened out. Sometimes you have to make changes, and changes are needed big time.

DALLAS, GA -- Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing is hiring. And they'll be holding a job fair for folks interested in those jobs. The job fair is scheduled for Saturday, June 18, at Chattahoochee Technical College's Paulding County campus in Dallas. The school is located at 400 Nathan Dean Blvd. and the job fair is in Paulding Hall, in Building B. Established in 1966, Toyo Tire makes replacement tires for nearly every make and model of p

I personally know Judge Beavers and know him to be an honorable man. You verbally attacking him because he didn't rule in your favor in a case before him is fair game since he's an elected politician. It is getting old.... But in his defense, generally in domestic or child support cases, he will generally rule in the wife's favor. Open up your wallet, pay your alimony or child support and move on. You lost. .... keep in mind,..."a man provides. And he does it even when he's not appreciated, or respected, or even loved. He simply bears up and he does it. Because he's a man".

Hillary will win the nomination and the presidency. It will be a great day for America.

So a Saudi is better for America than many school teachers, scholars, lawyers, blue collar workers and so forth? Nice try. How many of the hijacker's on 9/11 were from Saudi? Their religious ideology is to destroy America. Saudi's are truly not your friend.

I'm no fan of Rupert Murdoch (from Australia), But the real kicker is that the next largest shareholder in News Corp — the parent company of Fox News — is Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Why does anyone listen to the propaganda of Fox News? Liberal vs conservative is not the issue, the issue is foreigners swaying the opinions and votes of American people.

The KY clerk who won't issue marriage licenses
LUMPY replied to stercus tauri's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have a nephew who wears women's clothes, high heels, make up, etc. He's such a sissy. Why do grown men want to priss around? He's an outcast, the family has nothing to do with him. I see no need to congratulate a pervert. -
Per Sam Olens, Attorney General, State of Georgia “Today the Supreme Court of the United States ruled the Constitution requires a state to license a marriage between two people of the same sex and to recognize a marriage between two people of the same sex when their marriage was lawfully licensed and performed out of state. It does not permit bans on same-sex marriage. “In our system of government, the Supreme Court bears the ultimate responsibility for determining the constitutionality of our laws. Once the Supreme Court has ruled, its Order is the law of the land. As such, Georgia

Folks can grumble and cuss about Obama all day long, but these last few days have resulted in landmark court decisions which have strengthened his legacy. I could really care less about what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home. Bottom line....I don't see where the gay marriage decision really affects me one way or another. Carry on.

The situation got out of control because of the behavior of the black kids, not the behavior of the police officer. They were asked to leave and they refused.

There's a place in Dallas called Blue Chicken Auction that has many booths of various thrift store/ antiques/junk for sale. on the upper level, one of the booths had about two dozen Goosebumps books on a shelf. That was about two weeks ago when I went in there. . I think the books were fifty cents or a buck each. Might want to check them out. They are between Joan's restaurant and the old hospital on West memorial Drive. Good luck.

Plus sized is better than referring to them as Hoochie-mama or a bovine. -

Who is your favorite local highschool football team ?
LUMPY replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I used to like the Paulding County Patriots. They had some great teams, the marching band was huge and exciting and the game day experience was very fun. But when Mr. Segars took over, the kids stopped enjoying the games,. The kids could no longer park on the hill overlooking the end zone, and the kids were treated like convicts and harassed over the least little thing. School spirit vanished and the band program dwindled down to nearly nothing. Bottom, line, PCHS hit rock bottom in athletics (as well as academics) under the regime of Segars. I haven't been to a game there in a couple of yea -

The CITIZENS who vote, don't want 737's landing here. if you want to be near a fleet of 737's, move to Riverdale. Otherwise, the citizens who vote want to bulldoze all the buildings and turn it into a cemetery. A nice quiet cemetery with pretty flowers and maybe a pond with little geese hanging around it. If you want to honor chairman Austin's dreams, we could name our wastewater treatment plant after him. -
Well... what happened?
