I agree. We don't have tv service so the internet is my best source and Pcom is always where I go if I want local news.

I live on Vinson Mtn just south of Rockmart. It's very rural here. I have never seen a salt truck out my way in the 8 years I've been here. Also, while there are quite a few people that live in my area and my road stays fairly busy, I've been up since 6:30 and I've not heard or seen one car go by in nearly four hours. That tells me something isn't right with the roads. Plus I'm 7 miles from Yorkville and Goldmine Rd (which is reported to be closed) is the safest way for me to get out in times like this. Unfortunately even to get to Goldmine Rd I have to travel over lots of curves and hills. It

Audrey's was open according to the folks with Paulding B2B Networking group. They still had their meeting there at 7:45 this morning.

Yes, but you might want to add some clothing layers to those natural layers just for extra protection.

I just ventured out on the porch and it's cold as hell. I came right back in for coffee and was looking at my outside thermometer and it's reading 8 degrees. Screw that. Back in bed with J and the pups.

No I'm not kidding. They are there. However many they turned out to be. I was planning on going but I'll try for next week. If the road is closed that I use to get to 278, I see no reason to leave home. Obviously J will not be into Pcom, unless he decides to come later. But he isn't going before Noon, because I won't let him. -
I currently have four in the bed with J and I. None of those four weighs less than 50lbs. And we all know what a fat ass Tucker is. And the fifth one is sleeping in the crate that I'm currently have filled with blankets and pillows for a bed for them. We've had all of ours inside (they usually live in the fence out back) for a week ever since it got cold. Right now they are like extra little heaters in the bed. I love dogs. Everyone should have them. And LPPT, bring one of those little snapping turtles of yours over here and my kids will eat them for snacks. They are too cute though.

I just heard back from Tim, they are there at Audrey's and planning on meeting. I let him know I wouldn't be there nor would JMT, MillCreek or LPPT. I wonder who did show up. I think they're nuts. I can't be in business if I'm dead. I'll be there next week. -

I texted Tim late last night and he said it was still on. However, I just texted again and haven't heard back from him. I hear Goldmine Rd is closed or at least I've read that on three different news sites. Since I live seven miles from Yorkville to even get to Goldmine, I'm staying put. -

No you didn't. I LOVE COCONUT. IT'S MY FAVORITE. I must come and get one of those delightful little balls of yummy. -
I think it's a great idea. Go for it. And I think a good one would be The Barefoot Contessa.

You know, I'm inclined to agree with you. I really think the system is okay because it cools just fine in the summer and when the temps outside are normal it works fine. Usually around 30 degrees or so outside is when I start having a problem. I'm pretty sure heat pumps are a southern thing. Everyone I know up north uses gas or heating oil. I would give anything for a gas furnace about now. Either way, we aren't going to freeze to death. We have a space heater that we run constantly and lots of blankets and warm jammies. Last night I was actually hot in the bedroom and slept on the outside of

Okay...we all know it's cold out. Obviously colder than we are used to in the south. Hence my electric furnace and heat pump aren't working well. The system is 14 years old and I have read that a useful life for these systems is 15 years. Obviously I might as well start digging a grave and playing funeral dirges. However, since financially a new system is not even in the same galaxy as my wallet, I would like some advice. Basically the unit doesn't heat the house when it's below about 35 degrees outside. You can set the temp to 68 and the unit runs on auxiliary constantly and when I get up in

The correct way to say it is Two Thousand Ten... However, no one seems to say it that way.

I was approached by a young guy, maybe 20 or so in the dog food aisle at the Kroger on 278/61 and he asked if I had a cell phone and could he use it. I said, I did have a phone, but I wasn't in the habit of loaning it out. I explained that I'm certain the store had a telephone and if he would ask at customer service, I'm sure they would let him make his call. He looked at me like I had called him a bad name and walked off. I thought, you idiot. -
Thank you Pcom for introducing me to awesome friends, helping me build my business relationships and for contracting your awesome graphics dude. These are some of the highlights of 2009 that I know will continue in the New Year and for years to come.

People are so odd...collard greens have never stunk to me. In fact I adore they way they smell when they are cooking. Collards, cabbage, brussel sprouts, all smell and taste wonderful to me. Maybe I'm the odd one.

I noticed your sweet mom wasn't bowling Monday either. And just like Maggie all the activity there got me sidetracked. I do wish her a speedy recovery and I hope she's back with us soon. I adore her. The last few weeks spending time around her has been great. You have a wonderful family.

Jimmy and I with some help from my uncle installed our own 6' wooden privacy fence this past spring. We fenced an area that is approximately 1000 sqft of yard and the materials cost just under $1500 total. We spent about 6 days over a couple of weekends and week days putting it up. I recommend renting an auger from Home Depot at $75/day. (We only had it about 4 hours). I would also recommend a nail gun. We bought the 4x4 posts and the individual pickets. It was easier than buying the panels. All told, if I would have had a company do it, it would have cost a little more than double. If you can
