Could someone explain the closed baby funeral thread to me
MamaJess replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I agree, both babies were born and have died. Causes not yet determined it seems. The mother was the person noted in the article. Things just don't add up to me. I find it hard to believe any of the medical related stuff that was mentioned....like they called her baby a "dirty baby" and all that. -

I mistakenly opened the door due to thinking it was my kids friends knowing again. Ended up being some Baptists from White Oak Church. I don't buy anything people sell door to door and tried to tell them this as politely as possible. Dude really wanted to read me a verse so I gave in. He then proceeded to quiz me. Long story short he left but not before telling me I killed Christ. I don't think I want to be friends with that dude. Next time I'm going to look outside first and then I'm going to answer the door naked...if that don't scare em off I don't know what will.

Volunteers Mandated to Report Suspected Child Abuse
MamaJess replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I didn't read the article but from what I understand, as a volunteer you are to report it to someone above you. I was told that even a case of a child saying their parent beat them is to be reported and let the "higher ups" determine what happened from then on out. -
There is a truck stop the stations compete with The gas stations compete with that truck stop in Emerson I think. That's what they claim.

Anybody know what all the excitement is about in Hiram today?

You don't say?? -
Both places are gross. I blame most of the health problems people have on the "food" places like that serve.

I know exactly what you mean!!! I crave being around water...and trees. Lots of woods with streams. I don't know if it's because all the places I've ever lived had some body of water near it or because I'm a Pisces. I don't hate this area. I just sometimes feel sad. Maybe I just miss my Gram. I do enjoy the duck swamp in Hiram.

I've been here for a really long time now. Too long if you ask me. 9 years give or take a few months. Yikes. I'll never get out of here. I'm not really sure what I don't like and I'm not really sure what I do like about living here I think my problem is that growing up we moved around so many times that I just became used to it. This is the longest I have ever lived in one area. I do love the fact that my kids have lived here for most if not all of their lives and have the one thing I never had in my childhood....stability. I think my main complaints (humidity, lack of sidewalks

I agree with everything you have said! I can't tell you how many times I stop at the stop sign over the trail in Hiram (near the Fire Department) only to have a dang biker ignore their stop sign. Same thing on that area of road that they just put the signal on behind Home Depot. If I can get a ticket for not stopping why are they allowed to just scoot on through?! Oh and I had no idea you could only pass them in designated passing areas. I'd go postal if I got stuck behind one of them on Buchanan Hwy going a whole 10 mph. My personal favorite is when a group of them band together

I think it's sad on all levels. Sad because the person obviously is having some sort of issue and sad that law enforcement have to take time from potential higher level emergencies. I'm not sure of the protocol but if this person has a history maybe they need to be in a mental home and not alone in a house. -
I wholeheartedly believe that is the main cause of many of the illnesses and allergic reactions we are seeing now. We eat so far from how we were meant to eat and I too am guilty.

Typically I find your posts to be distasteful and annoying but right now I agree and think you are amazing. What really irritates me about the non vaccine people is how they (or I should say some) look down at the people who do vaccinate. It does go both ways and I do realize that but when you are going against the social norm you have to expect that. And as far as the 298 deaths, I personally don't see it as a cause for concern considering about 4 million babies are born in the US per YEAR. http://www.babycenter.com/0_surprising-facts-about-birth-in-the-united-states_1372273.bc T

My kids found $5 at Kroger once and were elated thinking they won the lottery. I was so freaked out about keeping the money thinking what if it were someones last $5 and now karma was going to "get us" because we didn't NEED the $5. I made them donate it to some cancer fundraiser thing they were doing. -
I was heading down 92 towards Macland Road (from Hiram towards Stars & Strikes) when I saw a seemingly large plane ascending and then leveling out below the clouds. I thought it seemed odd. I didn't notice any writing or anything on the side. It was almost a blue/gray color and just about blended in with the clouds. Government spy plane? Long day? You decide! I thought for sure I'd get on here and read about a plane that had crashed because it appeared to be flying that low.

It's such a shame I changed my major huh Oh and I'm more of a vodka kind of girl!

I think when people say that it is a case of talking before thinking. There is no reason to be afraid of children who aren't vaccinated. They do not carry diseases. Vaccinated children have the upper hand in the sense that their bodies have been exposed to the antigen so they have already created an antibody to fight it. If exposed again they may have no signs/symptoms or may suffer a minor illness. On the other hand a child who has never been exposed and does come into contact may not fight the illness off as quickly and may suffer a more moderate illness. Choosing to vaccinate or n

Thank you!! It wasn't a personal attack on any side of the issue and I'm glad you saw that although I almost feel attacked by some others. There is no right or wrong side in this debate. I'm also seeing a lot of misconceptions about vaccinations and how the body works. I think a lot of people can't fully understand the issue until they fully understand the human body. Vaccinations do not last in your body forever, you are getting a small dose of an illness which should be just enough to stimulate your immune system to create antibodies to fight against it. Your body then creates a "me
