Music has always been a refuge for me. Without going into too much detail, I went through a great deal of emotional turmoil in my formative years. Music made everything so much more bearable for me. Anyway, I remember when this song came out. I was 10 or 11, holed up in my mama's Ford LTD, listening to the radio, and I heard "Daisy Jane." I just sobbed. Don't know what evoked that kind of emotion in my preteen self but it was very powerful. I've said too much, I just love this song!
