We've always had ins on our kids simply because a $10,000 policy has been less than $1.00 per month through Hubbys work. The ins stops when they are 21 and none of our kids have ever died. Hubby has 2 very large ins policys as well and has had for the last 20 years and it has never occurred to me to kill him. I have a large one as well and I don't think he's planning to kill me. I should never be surprised when people use ins as an income, but it does. Those policys never cross my mind.

For those screaming about personal responsibility, going to the dr and requesting birth control to prevent pregnancy is exactly the definition of personal responsibility. Every single day people go to the dr to get meds for things that they cause themselves. I don't hear anyone yelling about the obese person who needs type 2 diabetic drugs, cholesterol or blood pressure meds. Is causing your own diabetic condition not included in the personal responsibility category? What if you smoke and it is the direct cause of lung cancer that you develop? This is a brilliant move, because an insurance company paying for a baby, prenatal care, labor and delivery, hospital stay, etc., is so much more cost effective than paying $10.00 a month for contraceptives. And I suppose that all those in favor of this ruling have never used insurance to pay for their contraceptives. Yea, whatever. In addition, I'm glad to know that not one of the supporters have ever had an unwanted pregnancy that a .30 cent pill could have covered and that they only have sex when they want a child. The world is a safer and more just place after this ruling.

I've never been arrested (never even came CLOSE), never done drugs, never smoked pot (which my children don't believe), never smoked a cigarette, and have been drunk a total of 4 times in my entire life. And I'm no stick in the mud.....really, I'm not!! :lol: I saw this crap so much when I was growing up with family members and it never held any appeal to me. My uncles were always being arrested for something, cousins and aunts on drugs. It was awful and it taught me real quick that I never wanted to do that.

It sure seems that way sometimes. And ANOTHER thing...........why is it that when someone gets off drugs heroin, crack, whatever and they get all kinds of accolades and rewards for quitting. What about the kids who never started in the first place, where are their rewards? It makes me crazy(er)!

Something sounds wonky about this too. If they did an autopsy wouldn't a cause have been found? She was waaay too young to up and die of 'natural causes' without cause.

Something is wrong with this entire case. Fisrt and most horrible, a baby is dead. And every day that passes it looks more and more like it was no accident and that his father didn't act alone. I do know that grief makes you crazy and the mother may not even be aware of what she's saying, but to say you wouldn't have your child back to grow up in this world and that now he doesn't have to deal with middle or high school? And that's how it should be. My cousin did my sisters funeral and we told him we wanted it short and sweet. I spoke, my nephew spoke and my cousin said a prayer. It was perfect. IMO, a funeral isn't a place to try to convert people to your way of thinking, it's not a forum for your beliefs.

This is the craziest story I've heard in a while. He rear ended her 3 times and then ran over her several times??? What is happening to society???? I've gotten 2 girls well into adulthood with neither of them being a drug user of any kind, neither ever being arrested and neither dead and I'm THANKFUL beyond belief. Hubby says I set my sights too low, but from my stand point, that's so much more than some people have and I'll take it. Middleschooler is following right along in their footsteps to this point and hopefully by the time he's in his late 20's, I can say the same things about him.

What if they did it together and this is all a ruse to try to get away with murdering their baby? Something just doesn't ring true to either of their stories.

That's exactly what I told Hubby. He forgot to take him AND pick him up? What a crock.

HOLY MOLY! I can't even comprehend that kind of evil if he really did this. GEEEEEEEEEZ!!! Why would you check that out? Can they place him at the computer at the time of the search? Does anyone else have access to his computer? I'm trying to rationalize how this can't be true. If he did do it, what on earth was his motive, money, he hated his wife, crazy as a loon?
