This is a no brainer...you have 3 little kids and NO experience on a bike and you want one simply because you want it. Taking a safety course isn't going to make you any safer from the idiots who either don't see or pay any attention to people on motorcycles, you can be safe all day long and it will do you no good if someone hits YOU. Put yourself in your wifes position for one second having to tell your kids that daddy has either been seriously injured and can't run and play with them anymore or even worse, daddys dead. Am I over reacting? Probably, but the chances are still TOO gre

Not in my world.

I'm with you...my dad was killed on one and there are no words, no pieces of jewelry, not more life insurance, zilch, nada, nothing that would get me to agree.

We had a few BAD experiences last year. but this year has been great. We arrived two weeks in a row, last week and the week before, around 9:35, walked right in with no line, and we were the ONLY ones in theater we chose to sit in until about 9:45. They do have designated theaters for day care so that HUGE problem has been curtailed. We went this AM to see Kung Fu Panda, got there at 9:45 and the theaters were already filling up pretty fast, but we had no trouble finding a seat. We arrived a little late because we went to Dunkin Donut first, so from now it will be 9:30 for us. Overall

Homeless Shelter water shut off

Thats probably true...sad...but true. -
I agree 100%...more than 100%. Of all the things I could complain about, getting older and getting to spend another year with my family and loved ones isn't one of them. This particular complaint really gets my goat!

So should they get free water? $170K is s substantial bill. -
I graduated in Cobb in 1982 and it was free then because I took it and we didn't pay anything. Ditto!! :clapping: :clapping:

Yea, she was thinking, but just not about her babies. She was doing what SHE wanted to do, those babies be damned. It had been close to 98 degrees that day and even at night it was still too hot to leave anything in the car that was living and breathing. Shes lucky that she's not facing murder charges instead of child cruelty charges. People like that don't deserve kids.

We have had to replace two hot water heaters & we never had a problem with pressure before they broke.
-
Bless your heart. Prayers and good wishes to you and your family.

So if she didn't want him there, how did he find out she had delivered the baby? I'm sure he didn't just happen by.

Have you never heard of forensics? People try to erase crime scenes all the time and you can't do it.

How smart is it to shoot a gun up in the air? I know of two incidents, one here in Atlanta on New Years Eve, when people were hit and seriously injured by the very same action. What goes up, must come down and with a bullet there is no control as to where it lands. It doesn't seem very responsible to me.

One of the hardest things we've ever had to do...

She can, however, they will wait 72 hours to respond to her request and those hours don't include the weekend or holidays. Also, the stakes are super high for her right now and I think she finally realizes that because of the ultimatum we gave her. We are prepared to stay away if she acts out and won't do what is needed to get better and she knows that and I'm hopeful that we won't have to make another awful decision if she refuses the help that is available. Thank you and will do! -
Thank you so much for your sweet words and I am thankful and proud of her and her skills. She never ceases to surprise us with her talent and compassion. She has had several requests for one of these and I'm trying to encourage her, so I'll let you know if she decides to do any others.

She has done both those things for years and I don't think I'd know how to act without those influences in my life! Weird huh?!?!?!? Thanks to you all for your support, I'm off to bed at last to hopefully sleep a restful sleep! Updates to come! -

One of the hardest things we've ever had to do...

Bless your heart, that is so much worse than what we have ever had to deal with and that is exactly what we wanted to avoid. As I said, we were to the point that we didn't care if she was mad...her well being outweighed any ill will she may feel for all of us. All 4 of her children were in agreement, but Hubby and I were the ones to deliver the news and everybody else just kept calling to say, 'what did she say, how is she'? Weenies, the lot of them!! -

I told Hubby on the way home that if this works and she is well again and she decides never to speak to us again, we'd cross that bridge when we come to it. We were willing to risk that outcome to get her better. -

She is at Ridgeview in Smyrna, she was there 12 years ago for alcoholism and hasn't had a drop since getting out for that. Hopefully we'll have as good an outcome this time around. I'm not sure I can do this again! I absolutely would and while not in water, she was in fact drowning. -
As some of you may know, my MIL has had a substance abuse problem for quite a while. The situation became so critical this week we had to give her an ultimatum...either check yourself in or we will do it against your will. That included going to Cobb County Probate Court and sign papers etc. Finally she unhappily agreed, so we were there for over 5 hours today getting her evaluated and checked in. I almost puked when it was time to leave her there in the 'elderly' ward and I felt REALLY bad for doing it for a split second. But then I realized that she had many, many opportunities to turn
