New Thrift Store law to take effect Feb.10th!

What really burns me up about this is the fact that this all began with the lead and poison in toys, formula and clothing from CHINA, not here. No thrift store can survive w/o selling kids clothing and toys and alot of American families won't be able to cloth their kids. How can this be OK? Can Congress really be so stupid to let this into effect the way it is written now? Oh wait...THAT was a stupid question! -
This is horrible...what happened?

Way cute!! You did a great job!!!!

It is the upholstry fabric for headboards we are making for our granddaughters. Since they are going to be big sisters in March and are going to have to share a room, we decided to redo to larger one for them both so new little baby could have his own room. New paint by Mom and Dad, curtains, dust ruffles, pillows by Gampi, headboards and platform beds by Poppi and Gampi. I can't wait until it's all done and TRY to post pics!

THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! Now if we can get the headboards done and installed by the time Santa comes, we'll be the coolest grandparents in history. I work better under pressure though! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Bless your hearts. Though I don't know you or your family personally, I kept up with your Mom on Pcom and Caring Bridge. I feel like I really missed out by not knowing her. Your comments about her before and after her illness make it clear what kind of person she was and I think we would all be a little better just having known her. Prayers and best wishes to your family.

How long do these claims take? We had a guy come by about 3 weeks ago and left us papers to send back in, Siding Claims Solutions. If I'm going to do a claim I'd rather put money in your packet than someone I don't know. I'll PM you my address if ypu'd like to come by and have a look.

Once again and all too often...tragedy puts things into perspective. Parents will be burying their son on Tuesday, maybe we should be thinking about them instead of where the non existent riots will be.

Me too! My heart is broken for you and your boys. What a great tribute to Copper and strangely, I think I'll always remember him too! Good thoughts to you!

I know what you mean, it's awful that something like this has to happen to put things into perspective. Thoughts and prayers to this family! This breaks my heart.

Sounds to me like you Mom knew when to be thankful, so many people don't. I loved your story and what a great memory you have. I'm sorry about your cousin...may he rest in peace. I hope peace also finds you at this sad time.

I love Pump It Up for some of the reasons others don't. I love the seperate rooms and the fact that there is only ONE party at a time in the room. I HATE Monkey Joes because everyone runs amuck, you can never find your own child, it's just a mess. I've had a party at Pump It Up and attended several others and have always enjoyed it, the workers interacted with the kids, had contests, and paid close attention to them. PLEASE don't go to the 'open play' format where you can't focus on just one party at a time. Then there would be NO jumpy places for me to take my child or to have a party.

Doesn't that upset you? My mom's dr told her about 3 years before she died in 1990 that if she'd quit smoking she could have many more good years with her family. Guess what? She didn't and the last year of her life was spent on oyxgen and even then gasping for breath. It was horrible. This is crazy, but about 3 weeks ago it dawned on me for some reason what the dr said and what she did and did not do and I became furious at her, 18 years after her death. If someone told me that I could do something...anything, to be able to spend even another day with my family, you can bet your behind

As I sat in church at Mceachern Methodist this morning and listened to the minister pray for this young mans family, I realized how sad it losing one so young and that it sometimes it takes a loss like this to put things in perspective for those of us who are supposed to be smarter and wiser. I know everyday life has to go on for the living, but is it really that important if the the clean clothes in the basket aren't folded? Or that we may not to get to go on the fantasy vacation of our dreams? As a 45 year old woman with 3 great kids, 2 granddaughters and a great husband, I have lived wh
