Was your old mail person 'Ms. Carol'? We miss her, since 3rd grader was little and up until about 6 months ago, she would bring him candy if he'd meet her at the truck. She is the sweetest lady. She always came before 11:00am and I have noticed that since we got a new person, it comes between 1:30pm and 2:30pm.

I was surprised too. We had a good time, but no one was open. It seems like last year that businesses were handing out candy and we shopped some.

Do you have an HOA or are random people making this decision? Take the sign down, if a random person put it up, then a random person could surely take it down.

We have candy for SUNDAY!!!!!! If people come on Saturday, they will be met with a dark porch and no candy. Hubby wants to go on Saturday because he is afraid that most people won't be participating on Sunday because of the religious aspect and 3rd grader will miss out. We are not in agreement. I have really good candy, so if people decide not to do Halloween on Halloween, he can just have all the Kit Kats, M&M's, Reeces, and Pixie Stix that we have left over. We do plan on taking 3rd grader to Dallas on Saturday so he'll be able to dress up, so he won't miss out either way.

I don't think it's just us, people have been calling the Bert Show all week to find out which day to go. In my world, you just need to grow a set and go on Halloween, I'm not going to let my neighbors dictate to me what day a holiday falls on!

It makes me feel guilty sometimes because we have such great insurance at a premium that isn't off the chart. I know this isn't popular, but if this dreaded Obamacare can insure a family that had never been able to have insurance, then good for Obamacare. We live in one of the richest countries in the world, regardless of the bad economic times we are in, and every person walking on this soil should be able to have insurance, it's ridiculous that there are uninsured children and people who are ill and can't afford health care.

So who gets blamed if my premium went down and we got more coverage, which they did?
