Yep, hate that too. But this is what I love (hate) even more. When you go to get your favorite lipstick, blush, etc., and you're told that it has been discontinued, you say ,'Are you kidding?' and the response is, 'We know. It has always been one of our best sellers.' WTH!?!?!? Why do companies discontinue a best selling item? My favorite lipstick of all time was by Clinique, called Fruit Ice. It was sheer and light and the BEST. It's probably been gone 20 years and I still remember going to Richs and hearing those oh so stupid words.......'it's been discontinued'.

How many people offering this advice, some great and some not so great, have had any experience with teen pregnancy? It's really easy to think you have all the answers and that your kid won't end up a statistic and thats extremely naive. Believe it or not, every teen that gets pregnant isn't a ho' or a skank or someone who makes bad grades and does drugs. Just because a girl goes to church, volunteers, eats dinner with her family every night, makes good grades, is involved in sports, etc., doesn't exclude or prevent her from getting pregnant. I KNOW!!!!!! Whats up with that? You're worse when you get out than when you went in. There is NO rehabilitation in prison and if anyone ever tries to convince me otherwise, I'm going to laugh in their face. My SIL wanted to be a 'corrections officer' in the prison system and got a job in Alabama. He worked there for 2 days and quit. He said the only thing that they were allowed to do was watch the felons break laws behind bars because there were 250 inmates in a gym like setting with 2 guards watching them do whatever they wanted to. I'm not sure that the laws are the problem, but the parents or lack there of. Even if the laws were 1000 times more strict and the prison system could accommodate 1000 times more people than they can now, the problem would be the same, kids running wild with no supervision. I'm NOT a Boortz fan, but I am a Royal Marshall fan and I was stunned by the news this morning. 43 years old....OMG!! His poor family, I can't even imagine.

As a stay at home Mom, I would never consider it. But, as a working Mom, I would guess your son would be somewhat used to your traveling, so I say go and have a great time. Your boy will be well taken care of and busy with school, etc and this could be a great adventure for him too. Opportunities like this don't come around often and not to most people, so take advantage of it and appreciate it!
