I was here for the '73 storm also and it was horrible. No power for a week and my Mom wasn't a big planner, so it was even worse.
-
I'm a little confused as to why some think that nothing is going to happen. Is the storm that is marching east suddenly going to disappear?
-
I like you so much!!!!!!
-
Just so you know this store still has everything

Good. Thanks KRM!! -
I will, you're right and it's dangerous work too. But as long as he's been at it, I try not to think about that part. Honestly, until he got his finger whacked off, I took his safety for granted to a point because that's the only way I could stay sane!! I know you do, it's hard not to. Knock wood......I have never lost power during any storm like this, I figure if Hubby is out working in it, God would not let my power go off! Now I've done it, I've opened my big mouth.

Love this post!!! I don't need a call to make this decision either.
-
YUP! Me too, I'm not even going to wake 3rd grader up in the morning. Hubby is packing for 5 day of work and leaving this afternoon, because if it ices like they say it's going to, he'll be working several days after the ice melts. Overhead power lines don't like the ice.

Thats why I like Pump It Up SOOOOOOO much more. When you have a party there, you get the jumpy rooms to yourselves for your party only. I went to Monkey Joes once and vowed that if 3rd grader got out of there without having to go to the hospital for some sort of injury that we would NEVER go back. People there acted like wild a$$ fools, grown ups and kids.

My MIL went to two of these places, the first one looked like a free clinic with scary looking people going in and out for their fix. It was so bad, that the first and ONLY time I took her, I called Hubby on the phone as I was walking through the parking lot by myself just in case something happened to me. I refused to go back. The second one was in Kennesaw by the hospital. They seemed to sincerely try to help manage my MIL's 'pain' but when they realized that she was only there for very strong pain meds (which we had tried to tell them that from the beginning), they dropped her as a p

My list is on the bottom left. -
That 'kid' is a grown man who happens to own the place.
-
Why would anyone be surprised that he was 'cut out' of her will? What exactly did she owe him? He's a d#$k!
-
Are you kidding?!?! I want to go look now!!!!! That is just GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ACK!!!!!!
-
It's good that you reported it, I have been an ebayer for at least 10 years with NO problems of any kind. I think that they always try to be on the up and up, but it would be next to impossible to police every listing on there. I certainly don't want it to turn into another craigslist.
-
So sorry! I just couldn't resist!!
-
There are 7 bids on these nasty things. I just wonder how the OP found that particular listing........HHHHHMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

Thats what I was thinking too.

I have always used alcohol. -
I heard from more than one source that we were supposed to have mild winter this year, I think those predictions were way off. I guess that's why they're called predictions.

A little FYI for all you sick folk out there...

Yep, it's true and it works. There have been topics on here before about this very thing. -
Us too, if we can get to it before the dogs do, it's fair game. Also, I do it at my house or people I'm close to, I wouldn't do it at a restaurant or in Walmart. It also depends on the food that is dropped, is it a piece of peanut butter toast, peanut butter side down...no way. A cookie, absolutely.

EXCELLENT post!!!! Your grandfather sounds like a smart man!

Thats what I was thinking too. And all police calls don't require lights and sirens, but it doesn't mean that they don't need to be at a call quickly.
