Good for you, new chapters are always scary. My son in law applied for a job with the city of Atlanta on Dec. 29. Didn't hear anything for over 2 weeks. Finally got a call verifying some info then nothing again. Got a call on Thursday to go for a driving test on Friday and he did very well. He's supposed to hear something by this Friday. Hate fleece robes too. And it was the PJ dept. where it was nearly empty, I wrote the wrong thing. I could always get flannel pajamas or gowns, they had nothing. I have always LOVED Penneys, I hope this isn't the death knell for my shopping relationship with them.

And the new tags are TINY! When I worked at Penneys 100 years ago, inventory was always on January 31, so maybe (hopefully} that had something to do with it too.

I would never in a million years accept the services of anyone who approached me at a gas station, especially ones offering to 'bill my insurance company'. Even if is isn't a scam of some sort, that is where my mind would immediately go. And you can have anything printed on a shirt.

I'm in Heaven, I LOOOVE Mannix!! The funny thing is, is that if you watch back to back episodes, he's always getting shot in the shoulder or poisoned. He's blind in the current episode. Hokey and ridiculous, but I was hooked when I was a little kid and I guess I still am. Selling technology to techies and selling soft goods to moms and grandmothers are two very different things. I went to JCP today and the merchandise looked very slim, the ladies lingerie dept. had about 8 racks in it and nothing that I would buy. It was very different from before Christmas. Stock seemed way down, and there were signs on racks that said $4 and up, $10.00 and up, etc. But nowhere on these racks did I see anything for the lowest amount on the sign. Many of the racks were jumbled with 20 different things from pants to shirts and sweaters. I have shopped at JCP for 35 years, bu

ME TOO! It gives me a headache because there is SOOOOO much there. If I have a focus and KNOW what I want, I can go in, get it and leave. If Hubby wants to browse, I have to go into the middle part where the kitchen stuff is until he's done and still can't stay for too long. YIKES!!!!

No way!! They send them unsolicited from just about every charity I can think of, I'll bet I have 1000 of them. If I don't order them, I don't pay for them. Now, that's not to say that I don't support a few of the charities that do this, like St. Judes Childrens Hospital. I do donate to them, but not for labels that I didn't order.

I'm not sure that this is such a great idea, simply because most consumers are trained to look for 'sales'. Even if the merchandise it less all the time, if there is no 'sale' sign over the rack, some people may not even look at it. In my world, unless it's on sale or clearance, it stays at the store and as most people know, old habits are hard to break.
