Opinions on 'incense' kids are smoking..........
dawneykids replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So is the real thing safer than the fake? I don't understand the whole 'getting high' mentality. -
So what did mine mean where it said at the bottom, 'Failure to appear will result in a bench warrant being issued for your arrest'?

Hubby and I have a new system for our printers. We needed a new printer about a year ago and I found a 3 in 1 on clearance at Walmart for $28.00. Bought it, it worked great and a few days later I checked to see how much new ink was so we'd have some on hand when it was needed. For 2 cartridges, 1 B/W and 1 color, it was going to be over $56.00. So, I bought the last 2 printers they had for the new low price of $22.97 and when we needed ink, we opened the box, removed it and gave the brand new printer away. We got 3 HP printers on Black Friday for $17.00 each and plan on installing one w

I don't know what you were going to say, but I've probably already thought at some point. And you're right, it's too late to go there! -

Bluing. Just a few drops will do it, I mix it in with about a quart of detergent and launder as usual. It's on the detergent aisle, usually on the top shelf. I get it at Walmart.

I'm not sure that people who can do this to other humans, believe that they ARE humans. I think that in their demented, evil minds, they are play things like a kitten would be to a 'normal' person. Also, what is even scarier.......I have often wondered how many of these maniac killers we actually have come into contact with. Was he in line behind us at Kroger or at the Racetrac while we were getting gas? Did we barely escape being a victim for one reason or another and he chose someone else? Maybe I'm morbid, but I can't believe that every single person I have ever come into contact with h -

So, the kids hold no responsibility here, it's the evil store owner? -

Yes, that seems to be the case. But the Mother is insisting that it is synthetic pot, which is outlawed in GA. But the package says incense. Go figure. I mean, is Walmart going to stop selling spray paint because idiot kids 'huff' it....whatever that means. -
I think they can have you arrested, or at least that's what it said they would do on the last one I got.

I just saw this on TV. Evil incarnate. Yes and he beat her with her OWN skate. WOW. -
The package clearly says 'not for consumption'. 14 year old buys it and he and an 11 year old smoke it. They get sick. Mom confronts store manager on TV. There are no age requirements for buying this product, it says don't smoke it and she is holding the store responsible. Where was she when this was going on? HHHMMMMMMMM.

I know, Oh Lord..........last year when he was in 3rd grade, they had early release on a Wednesday. In 25 years of picking up kids, I HAVE NEVER forgotten anyone. EVER. I had to take my MIL to a dr's. appt., dropped her off at her house at 11:15 and went to JC Penney in Hiram. I shopped and shopped and when I was checking out at about 1:20, plenty of time to get to school by 2:00 dismissal, my cell blew up with missed calls, voice mails and texts. I got a frantic call from my son in law wanting to know where I was. 'At Penneys, on the way to school', I calmly said. 'Mom, school got out at -

Yep, do that too. 4th grader is only about 3 inches shorter than me, which isn't saying a lot because I'm only 5'1......But he takes Pil Sung Do and they practice 'breaks' at every class. Like if someone grabs them by the back of the shirt, straight on or in a bear hug, etc., they learn how to break away and then get away. He's also as strong as an ox, Hubby has carried away a bruise or two after the many trampoline fights they have. -

It's really funny because if I let him go in the mens room alone, we have a routine conversation that goes like this........'What are the rules'? 'Go in, use the bathroom, wash my hands and get out'. 'What do you if someone looks at you funny'. 'Scream and run out as fast as I can'. 'Yes, hurry'!!!! I got my girls grown with the same kind of rules and because of those rules we always had lots of kids at our house for one thing or another. I was the 'go to' mom when other parents didn't show up to pick up their kids from football games or dances. Who the He!! doesn't pick up their kids? -
How do even survive a loss like this? Good wishes sent.

You're SO right. It's hard to have a 10 year old boy sometimes because so many other parents of kids his age often don't even know where their kids are. If 4th grader is outside, there is an adult outside with him. If he needs to use the bathroom while we're out with just the two us, I try to find a family restroom that I can check out and he can go alone, if theres not one depending on where we are, I'll let him go in alone with me right outside the door and if he's gone for more than 2 or 3 minutes, I open the door an ask if he's ok. He will never go to the bathroom alone in Walmart. He d -
I agree. At Kohls right before Thanksgiving, I found an open pack of baby socks laying on a clearance rack in the kids dept. I looked and looked for a new, unopened package, but couldn't find one. I really wanted them because they were socks for a baby girl and they looked like black patent shoes with different colored socks.....too cute. Anyway, I found a man with a name tag who didn't work in the dept, he looked and looked for more too couldn't find any and finally said, 'Does $3.00 sound fair?' It did and I bought them. He was a super nice guy and so helpful.

Totally agree, but I wonder if the same people that are so offended by this attitude in the Tate thread will be offended in this one too. No sympathy here for this monster. Dang! (sarcasm) -

You know what really scares me? When people have yard sales and especially estate sales, those folks are sitting ducks in my book. At the end of the day, estate sales can have lots and lots of cash ripe for the taking. And with that show on HGTV about estate sales, it shows them counting out thousands of dollars at the end of a sale and I always wonder if it's just a matter of time before someone is robbed or worse.

I totally agree with you and why did she have to confirm one way or the other? Who's business is it besides hers and her family's? And she is going to take a beating because of the way she cooks, but we don't know if one thing has anything to do with the other. People certainly don't have to follow her cooking advice. Granted, I'm not the best eater in the world, but I'd never cook a majority of what she makes no matter how good it looks, but if I did and ate it on a regular basis, that would be ALL me, she's not holding a gun to anyones head.

I heard last week that 'reliable sources' claim that Paula Deen has type 2 diabetes and that she was supposed to spill the beans this week.

Good post! Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't make you a bad person when you are rude to someone lying to your face in your own driveway.
