  1. That's exactly what I told Hubby. When the judges are the focus of a show like this as opposed to the 'talent' and get more attention than the ones who are supposed to be in the spot light, it's time to turn out the lights and go home. I stopped watching when they had JLo and Steven Tyler as judges. This year will be a train wreck with these two gals.
  2. 5th grader went to FBK for 3 and 4 year pre-school and we loved it, but it's not cheap.
  3. The last several times that I have seen her, she has been in my neck of the woods in New Hope and around Bobo road. We saw her right before we went to Washington on the 20th.
  4. What kind of 'mother' would allow a man to do this to her child, much less one that isn't even his real father? Hubby is the father of all three of my kids, but it would be a cold day in He!! before I'd let him do them that way. I'm confused as to why this one child. I shouldn't be amazed anymore that people can be so evil, but I am.
  5. There was a story just like this on Criminal Minds a few years back, so I wonder if foul play could be involved. What a horrible thing to happen. YUK!
  6. Yep, we were having a birthday party there the next day and I couldn't believe the damage. You could see the path it cut right across 381 and all the damage it did in the yards there as well. Ga Power had about 25 trucks in the parking lot of Sara Babb making a plan as to how to proceed.
  7. I'm glad to hear the good news, I hope it continues to go well.
  8. I believe that they were, especially the one in February.
  9. This is tragic on so many levels, but regardless of what happens, if she had the same impact on others as she did on you and your family, she will never, ever be forgotten. Good wishes sent for all involved and I think you need to teach a class on thankfulness and having a good attitude under duress. Please know that we are thinking about you too during this time.
  10. Is he special needs at all, I haven't heard one way or the other? Why on earth would they lock him away in a bedroom for 4 years and not feed him? Was it punishment, meanness or what? And you are right about there being almost no help for someone over 18 years old, especially being locked up and starved for that long, it's not like he can get a job and support himself. This is a saaad case and honestly, He!! is too good for these so called parents.
  11. You have no idea what I have survived, so DO NOT assume that you do. You know NOTHING about me or my life, but I'll tell you one thing for sure, I had rather be destitute, laying in the street than to be one iota like you. There are in fact people full of sheeze, as you are so fond of saying, on this site and in this very topic, but once again, you're completely wrong because I'm not one of them.
  12. That's a joke, with rent/mortgage payment, car ins, electricity/gas/water, food, gas for the car, etc., it C-A-N-N-O-T B-E D-O-N-E. You can talk until you're blue in the face, we all can, and there are some who will never accept that fact there are times when people need help because they fall on hard times through no fault of their own. But to some it will always be their fault, because they didn't sell their jewelry, car or a kidney. And for the ones that continue to harp about the government stealing from their hard earned paychecks, that they have never had handouts and never will.
  13. Darn good post Missy!!!! +100 :clapping:
  14. I do have a very big life insurance policy!!
  15. OMG!! I'm phobic about lizards. Logically, I know they can't hurt me and will run away if you come up on them, but I can't help it. We were having a birthday party not too long ago and I saw movement out of the corner of my eye on the inside of the living room window. I panicked, screamed and when Hubby finally got the lizard out of the house, I was standing on the kitchen table. Luckily, he and my entire family know how afraid I am of them and don't tease me of try to throw them on me as a joke as I have had happen in the past. It's not funny when you're so afraid of something. I know
  16. I like those but with the zippers on the outside, it looks like your shoes are on the wrong feet, that just hit me, that's why I don't like them. Me neither!
  17. I'm calling. This is where I almost got smashed the other day. I was coming from Macland toward 278 to turn left, I waited until the turn lane before attempting to get over and luckily I always look first, because there were cars driving on the wrong side of the road and in the gore from the bottom of the hill up to the turn lane. I swerved back into the straight lane and had to cross 278 and go the back way way to Home Depot because I couldn't get over. J-E-R-K-S!
  18. And just where are all these jobs people are hiding from just to get govt. aid? You can't have it both ways, complain in one topic about there being NO jobs because of Obama and then gripe in another topic that people should take any job available to make ends meet. What jobs? My son-in-law went on a job interview 2 weeks ago and there were 1600 applicants for one truck driver position. Do you really think that the 1599 people that didn't get the job aren't trying? Government aid doesn't always equal deadbeats and slackers, sure there are abusers and it needs to stop. But when any group of
  19. I'm glad it's not just me, in my world your belt, shoes and purse must match. I love on What Not To Wear when they tell people to use a brightly colored purse for a 'POP' of color while she has on a different color pair of shoes..............makes me crazy!!! I realize and believe that it's acceptable as well as fashionable, but I can just hear my Mom saying,'No, no, no Dawney, we don't do that', and I just can't seem to follow the trend.
  20. I don't have Comcast, so I can't read the bill. Who said that you were on welfare? Not me. I'm just curious as to how you know that kids with free lunch get free computers and high speed internet and reap the benefits of all those who work. And the statement 'I will never be on welfare' are mighty big words. I hope you don't have to swallow them one day, you might choke.
