Funny story about a thrift store find........

Thats weird! -
This is exactly what happened to my sister, but she wasn't so lucky. We ignored her leg pain all day one Sunday and even joked about her being clumsy and probably stepping in a hole of something and she dropped dead the next day of a pulmonary embolism. She didn't drink', smoke, eat sugar or fatty foods, she exercised, etc. It almost KILLED me. I'm so thankful that your story is so different from ours. And you're right, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ignore leg pain. Good wishes to you and your Hubby for a quick recovery and NO recurrence, EVER. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topi

So I guess since he's not ACTUALLY homeless, it negates the kindness shown by the police officer. What exactly is your point in posting this and why would you go so far as to investigate it? What is your issue here?

Sorry Charlie, you're not getting my Aquascutum!!!!  -
My oldest daughter and I went 'thrift storing' today because we are working on a project for my granddaughter and we were looking for some specific things. I found a mans raincoat on a $1.00 rack, it's black/cream/red houndstooth. It is obviously a very nice vintage coat in excellent condition and it has these cool buckles that cinch up the sleeves to make them fit. Well, I loved it, it fit, so for $1.00, I brought it home. Tonite, I was looking at the tag to get dry cleaning info and the tag said 'Aquascutum' of London, made in Canada. Well, the name itself when you say it over and over,

I live on Old Cartersville rd. in New Hope and if you drive down the road toward hwy. 61, about 3 miles or so from my neighborhood, on the right, there is a house where they usually have swings in the front yard for sale. I don't know the number, but it's just a little house with swings sitting out by the road.

My Mom was tiny, a size 4 or 6 and she wore a long line girdle with EVERY pair of pants she wore. It came down just past her calves and she wore it summer and winter. OMG!!! I loved those things and come to find out, so did Hubby when he was little!!!! It has opened up again, we were there 2 weeks ago and got Hubby 2 pair of boots.

Rockefeller Center to see the HUGE tree, Empire State Building, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island. We went several years and had 6 hours as well and we did all of the above. We landed at the World Trade Center and went out to Times Square, walked uptown and saw what we wanted to see and rode the subway back to catch the ferry to Liberty State Park in New Jersey. It was a little harried, but waaay fun. Don't forget to try and see the windows at Macys and Bloomingdales, they go all out to decorate them for Christmas!! I hope ya'll have a great, great t

It sounds stupid and I DID NOT believe it, but it has worked for us with all the babies. Weird, but true I think.

It's funny that you wrote that, because I've always said that. I am not musically inclined AT ALL, I've tried to no avail. I'm a firm believer that you either 'have it' or you don't. So when I see this gift that you have and that so many others have as well, I'm simply in awe. It truly is magical to see someone with an instrument and can make it sound the way that you do. Thank you for sharing!

Leggings aren't the same thing as tights. Leggings are thicker and you can't see through them, tights an be called 'opaque' but you can still see through them. Leggings I have no problem with, tights and a sweater just means to me that you left your pants at home. Not a good look, ACK!!!!!

I can't wait!!! We're all so excited at our house about this!! This kicks off the Christmas season for me, gets me in the holiday mood and makes me forget real life for a little while. Thank you to all who organize and participate in it!!!!!!!

You've come to the right place to make new friends. Welcome!!!!!! We're having the annual Christmas Parade on Saturday in downtown Dallas, it will make you feel right at home and it's so much fun!!!!

I was weepy the first time I saw this this morning, now I'm weepy again because of the music, as well as what Pubby wrote about loss, etc. The holidays always seem to be portrayed as jolly and happy with goodwill to spare. But for some, it's a reminder of sadness and loss. I think I'm in the middle somewhere. I love Christmas, the lights, music, Santa, etc., but this time also reminds me what I and we as a family have lost and the trials we are experiencing right now. But the great thing about Subby's beautiful tribute, is that it makes you realize that you are not alone and that there ar

You must be mistaken about this story, policemen/deputies are all bad and would NEVER do any good for anyone! Their only goal is to 'get' people in their district. Or at least thats what some seem to believe. -

I'm still not sure what the objective of the OP was to come on here with this story. Was he hoping for sympathy, brothers in arms, a shoulder to cry on? Whatever the purpose was, it hasn't seemed to work. And the way he is presenting himself isn't in the best light. But maybe that's just me. -

Was your best friend, the retired cop , with you when this event occurred and if not, why will he be in court too?
