Thank you, then maybe I'll be more comfortable too.

I'll do them, just not very well. I tend to get bumfuzzled! I hope he gets it so we can walk through it at least once before he starts 6th grade. It's so stupid, but I'm a wreck about this. I know it's because he's been at the same school from K-5 and admittedly, I don't deal with change very well. Added to the fact that he is going to be riding the bus.............OH LORD...........I may not survive!!!

Middle school open house is on the 30th, do the kids get their schedules then or on the first day of school?
-
I agree, not for a 30 mile commute. My nephew had one, but he lives in Midtown and works less than 2 miles from work.

I had a stove like this in my first apartment and they are really cool. I'm glad you found one!!!

That's what Hubby tells people I still use, along with my abacus for math. In other words, I tend to fight against technology.

I'm about to date myself for sure, but didn't K and 1st grade used to use big fat pencils? It seems like they were either blue, red or green with a big red eraser?????

Are you for or against the death penalty?

Agreed 100%. Who thought it was ever a good idea to let violent, dangerous inmates bulk up like a pro wrestler while they are supposed to paying their debt to society? Why can't they work on a chain gang like they used to do? I guess it's cruel and unusual, of course if I'm the one they raped or killed, it seems that they would be getting off light just to draw another breath. But what do I know? -
Is this why this property is renting this high?

I totally understand from a landlord point of view but all renters don't tear up the property they are renting and unfortunately the ones who do make it bad for everyone trying to rent. We rented a house for 8 years before we bought in Paulding and the house was in better shape when we left it than when we moved in. The rent was so reasonable, we redid both bathrooms, kitchen counters, landscaped, painted, etc., and we still felt like we were getting a good deal. It's the old saying, 'a few bad apples spoil the bunch' and it's a shame. -
It's beyond mine too. How is it lazy to get up, get your child up, feed them breakfast, make sure they are ready and prepared on time, walk to the car, get in, buckle up, start the car, back out of the garage, drive to school, wait in the car rider line, wait in the traffic to return home, drive back home, park the car, and walk up the stairs when you get there? That's lazier than putting them on the bus and walking back into the house? Wow, the word 'lazy' must mean different things to different people. I've always driven my kids to school, my grown daughters, 26 and 28, never rode the bu

We have 5 rentals in our neighborhood and they are all over $1200.00 a month to for a normal 3/2, 1/4 acre lot, etc. Not only is the rent high, but often the deposits are 3 or 4 months rent in advance. I realize that some renters tear the place up and monies are needed to repair the damage after they're gone, but a $4500.00 cash deposit is huge and most people don't have that kind of extra money. It's a catch 22 for everyone involved. -
I don't understand the pre-sharpened thing. Weird!
-
+100. Thank you!
-
I'm sorry, I'm a parent and that list is ridiculous! I have no problem donating extras for others to use and I ALWAYS do, but 'pre-sharpened' pencils? WTH? Are they going to toss them when the tips a dull and go on to a new pencil? No, no not happening.

You have totally just made my day, thank you! I also believe that the same thing can be said about you. Points can be made without name calling and insults. I will say though, that I have been known to lower myself at times when someone takes the low road, I've followed on down the lane a time or two. But I do try my best not to. Thank you again for starting my day on such a nice note!!

Pats Apparel in Hiram, 770-222-7888 Website: Pat's Apparel. I've used her several times and have been very pleased. -
I have a problem with this show because the people they search for are famous and could afford to find out these things on their own if they wanted too. It would be better if they chose families who don't have the resources or connections to ever get this info. But that's just me.

Me neither! Seems pretty childish and unprofessional to me.

You're exactly right about the media editing at will. It's happened to me personally 3 times and I swear I don't believe most of what I hear/see in the so called 'news'. So many journalists are a joke, you can't trust anyone.
-
Agreed! Hubby calls them 'bodice rippers' because of the pics that are usually on the front. And my girls ALWAYS made fun of me for reading them and now that they are grown, they read 3-4 every week themselves! This young lady is so beautiful and has so much class, it was a sweet tribute to Diana.

I believe you are correct. And if I need an ambulance, I don't care who's running it, billing for it or whose name is on the business card, as long as they show up in a timely manner and help as needed.

You really seem to have lost your mind. There is a HUGE difference in 'supporting', your word not mine, something and taking note of current events in the world. Whether you like it or not, they have royalty in Great Britain and strangely, people like weddings and babies being born. You are acting as if these people have blatantly harmed you in some way. Very, very odd.
