  1. No kidding!! When it come to eating and not eating, most people send in whatever is needed, on time, to get what they need. Why would anyone lie about that? Sounds like a cover your a$$ answer from the caseworker to me. I absolutely agree, but there are those who are opposed to ANY kind of assistance, regardless of the circumstances.
  2. I commend you for opening this thread considering all the outrage on here about 'entitlement attitudes', 'deadbeats on the govt take', etc. I know and realize that people do need help and I know that you do so much toward that end. And not that you need it, but I've got your back when the mud slinging starts.
  3. I'm calling BS on this entire story, except for the fact that a baby may have been missing. Mom called a psychic? They had to search the neighborhood 'several times' before she was found safe, sound, clean and not upset? DEFACS is involved and this gal has an attorney? Nah, somethings up.
  4. Hubby read my comment and said, 'R-E-A-L-L-Y', with one eyebrow raised! Just pure luck!
  5. Holy moly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE the pink crane!!!!!!! And kudos to Papis company for such a generous donation!!!
  6. That's what I thought too! It's a good day when you avoid being eaten by anything.
  7. :good: Barring terminal illness, suicide is a cowardly way out and the real victims are the families and children that have to live with the aftermath. And one thing I'm sure of, is that this kind of inflammatory information NEVER evokes the wanted emotion from me that the supplier wants and expects. They want you to gasp in horror and jump on their bandwagon. But like you said, just as much info, video and newsprint can be pointed at PTSD or any number of other factors that lead people to suicide. But, ultimately what leads them to suicide is their own hand, service person or not and th
  8. Who does this team have by the short hairs to get approval for a new stadium? They don't need a new stadium, they need new players who can catch, throw, run, block and kick and new coaches who are doing a better job than the ones they have now. What are these people getting paid for?
  9. It's a myth that a USPS mail carrier has the right of way to where ever they want to drive or that they have the right of way over emergency vehicles. They have to follow the rules of the road just like everyone else and that in no way includes someones front lawn. http://www.snopes.com/autos/law/fourway.asp
  10. This is so sad and it seems so sudden. Good wishes to his family.
  11. The USPS has the right of way to whatever they want? That's a little hard to believe.
  12. I'm sure that's what it is, I've never seen or heard of a MK store.
  13. Don't let anyone run off from this site if you enjoy it. One of the most important things to remember about the posters here, is that most are genuine, however, that are some who will pick and call names, accuse you of being stupid or ignorant, etc, just to sit back and laugh because they upset you. You know as well as I do who some of these people are, they're here to cause drama and then chuckle about how they led everyone down the exact path they intended to and we're sometimes dumb enough to fall for it. They don't care about their own opinions, or ours for that matter, because they are to
  14. There is one very operative word in your post that describes RL, it starts with a 'p' and ends with a 'k'. Did you mean to do that?
  15. I'd rather poke my eyes out with a stick than to listen, much less believe, anything Rush says.
  16. Good question. This is the thing, I'm a really nice person, probably like most of the people on here. And while I don't agree with a lot of their opinions, I don't start out by name calling and with open hostility. I have different opinions from people I know and love and we never resort to name calling. I usually try to make my point with facts and try to explain my point of view. But, there are people who don't agree with an opinion and start name calling straight out of the gate. That I don't stand for and I've been known to wallow around in the name calling muck. Just because 2 peopl
  17. I think it's all just in my head and that most any name brand is OK, Fram is just always what I've bought.
  18. That's good info, thanks! I think it calls for a change between 5000 and 6000 miles and it looks almost the same when it comes out as it does when he puts it in. It's a 2010, that may be why.
  19. Indeed! Gloria Allred is defending one of these thugs? SERIOUSLY? What a biotch.
  20. ^^^^This. He can afford to close his store's. Is making a point more important than those jobs and the people and families they support? Not in my world.
  21. Thank you for the info. He changes it like clock work and I'm just used to that bright orange Fram in my buggy. Even with oil filters, I resist change.
