I CLEARLY remember a very popular Pcommer who left the site a while ago, a 'taking my ball and going home', scenario, who railed and railed and railed against Obama. They were vehement that the Democrats were running the country into the ground with handouts. 'I work, I take care of my own, why should I help you' attitude. It was to the point of being rabid and it was nauseating. My goofy youngest daughter got her first one at 18, she's now 26. It's a beautiful angel on the entire top of her left foot that her friend designed and drew. And I said 'goofy' daughter because for 2 months after she got it, she wore a sock on her foot. Just one sock, thinking that she was so much smarter than me or Hubby that we wouldn't notice. Seriously, kid???? I knew the moment she walked in from getting it what she had done and I just continued to let her torture herself until we went to the pool one day and she had to take the sock off. Goofy, goofy, goofy.

THANK YOU! Pride is a ridiculous attribute when your family is hungry or you need medical help. I have no sympathy for people who complain that they are or have been sick and won't accept help that is offered and available. Why the he!! not, you're too good or you're not that person? Well, yea you are if you don't have the means to provide for yourself or your family. There's no shame in that, none. Things happen, circumstances change, and there you are.........stuck. No school, private or 'government', have or will ever teach my kids half of what they know. The museums, historical sights, books, documentaries and the travel they have experienced has helped to provide that. People who expect any one entity to teach their children everything they need to know is clueless to begin with. Parents are one big problem in public schools or the evil government schools as they are often labeled, not teachers. I'm not going to leave my childs complete education to anyone, I don't care where the money comes from that pays them.

Or if it was their kid who was shot. My children have been educated by school teachers, not 'the government'. None of them have ever been taught by a senator or president, just teachers.

I'm too optimistic, something that can drive Hubby crazy. That is so ironic to me.

I can't imagine being in your shoes and not knowing where your child is. I believe that there are kids who won't be stopped, you can do everything right, every single thing and they will still do what they want to do regardless of their upbringing. I do think a lot of parents drop the ball and don't do enough and let their kids do as they please, but I also believe that there are great parents who have bad kids. First off, once again, I HATE tattoos. However, when you want someone to volunteer for armed services in the unstable world we live in today, I wouldn't think that they would care who had a tattoo and who didn't. You can go to a foreign country and take a bullet on soil we don't even belong on, but you can't have a tattoo on your leg? Ridiculous.
