It's been 10 years, it's time to move on. If a person holds onto anger and hatred for that long, it turns them into a bitter, unhappy person. I've seen it and lived with it and it's not a pretty sight or an easy one to deal with. And a child, regardless of their age, SHOULD NEVER BE EXPECTED TO CHOOSE BETWEEN PARENTS REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE BREAK UP. It's selfish and petty to ask that of a child. Big girl/boy pants are hard to pull up sometimes, but as adults, that's what you do.

Yep, this is the boat we were in for years before my father in law passed several years ago. We invited everyone and made it clear that everyone was welcome, but best behavior was expected and it was always fine. There was a little tension at first, but there comes a time when everyone has to be an adult. Darn good post.

You and me both. What is interesting to me though, is that young people get gigged so often for being disrespectful, but I'm seeing more and more and more 'mature' adults behaving just like the OP stated. What is wrong with people? My mother had MANY shortcomings in the 'mom' dept., and made many bad decisions where her kids were concerned, but she did teach us manners and how to follow directions and common courtesy to the people around us and to have respect for the people working around us and for us. Some people just suck and are rude. What a DUMBHEAD! -
I was 3 months old and at home with my grandmother. My mother was shopping at Cato in Canton when they heard what had happened and she said she was in a panic trying to get home to me and my sister. She said it was so dumb, but that's all she could think to do. My dad had been killed in June, I was born 9 weeks premature in August and that was the first day she'd been out since I had been born. The memory of that day made her tear up until the day she died.

Unless the ads get better than the ones I've already seen, nothing seems worth getting out for. I will say the that last 3 years we have had a blast going to Walmart at 4 or 5 in the morning trying to get the deals in the ad. We make a plan, prioritize what is most important, assign stations and make sure all of our communications are charged and ready to go. Last year was the first year that Hubby went with us and little did he know that we gave him the dirty job of trying to get sheets ansd towels. He succeeded, but I think he needed a beer afterward because he had no idea how a woman will f

It may have happened last year or 10 years ago, but it also happened yesterday, 11/21/2013, I saw it, I was there.

Have you heard about his Atlanta event?

A much more affordable event is Larry, Carols and Mo at the Fox on December 9. We've been every year since this started and we love it. The tickets are 'free' with a $2.50 per ticket surcharge and a $4.95 transaction fee. I got 6 tickets for $19.95 and anything at the Fox for that price is a bargain. For those who have never been, it's a movie like Elf, It's a Wonderful Life or like this year, A Christmas Story. You sing carols with Mo, the giant pipe organ and after the movie there's entertainment like groups of singers or bell playing, etc. It's great. -
Maybe someone asked about it 2 years ago too, but I saw it today, 11/21/2013. Weird.

I don't think so, they'd already passed the airport when we saw them. They were by Greystone when we saw them, with lots of police and even more people people on the side of the road at different intervals.

We're going. It's too expensive, too flashy, too commercial, too cheesy, etc. But it looks like too much fun to miss. We passed it the other day going to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, which is right next door to Turner Field and it looked pretty cool..............and flashy and commercial and cheesy!! -
Yes, that's what the 2 buses we saw said. It also said Amor, Esperanza.......meaning love and hope. The giant thing in the back of the truck was the Virgin Mary. But the oddest thing to me besides the 6 LEO's with their lights on, stopping traffic on 278, was the fact that were in Rockmart on a trek from Mexico to New York. How the heck fire do you end up in this part of the world if you have a map?!?!

My question too. We've bought guns at a gun show with and without gun permits. With a permit, you show it and buy the gun. Without a permit, you're subject to the same background check as everyone else. A gun show isn't like a craft fair where you buy what you want at will. People who don't know any better tend to jump on the 'more gun control' bandwagon and don't actually know how things work for themselves. -
Good job! Someone asking a question shouldn't have to be bombarded with anyones political rantings.

WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

We were detoured about 45 minutes ago from 278 onto Florence. It looked like a really bad accident just past the intersection toward Hiram.

What a silly sign.............................don't you know it's OK to judge people on public assistance because it's our money they are using?? What are yo thinkin' silly head!?!?!?!?!??!
-
Taxes will be taken out regardless and the money will be distributed as the govt sees fit. Judging people at the checkout counter won't change that. And it's shameful that there is such a stigma attached to EBT and that stigma comes directly from the attitude of 'don't take my money to help someone else, I get mine, let them get theirs'. There have been people right here on Pcom who have been in dire straights and because of pride and the shame associated with getting 'food stamps' or Medicaid, they've gone without because they couldn't stand the thought of being in the 'deadbeat' category, ri

This isn't a panther story, but 2 nights ago we were about 2 miles from the house around 11:00pm and in that 2 miles we saw a coyote, a fox and 3 deer. We saw the fox first on the side of the road. Then the deer and we were certain we'd seen all the wildlife we were going to and there in the middle of the road, headed toward the woods was a coyote. Weird.
