  1. Ir's better now! back to "normal"!
  2. I'll bet that's it!! I only ever view on the recent topics page. OH MODS...could you maybe slice down that long topic so that the citizens of Mayberry can view pcom as they expect it to be, PLEASE??!!?? (I'm going to report this post so maybe a mod will see it?)
  3. NONE. And I have a really cool display out by the front door. I want some trick-or-treaters!! We haven't had ANY since the triple murder next door, 4 Halloweens ago. I want to see some tiny goblins and give them some candy. Darnit.
  4. I didn't intentionally, and everything looks the same but for size, but I'll try to see if that helps! Thanks! Yep. First thing I did. It resizes, as expected, but then the print gets really small. That's not the answer! It's NOT RIGHT!! Like I said, I tried that FIRST!!
  5. No, really. It's gotten too big for my monitor. I have tried adjusting settings. I have restarted. Still, the window is too wide...I have to scroll to get from the left sidebar and across the post topics to see who posted. I will readily admit this may be my fault? But I didn't intentionally change anything, and any other web page I visit displays as expected. Anyone else have a really WIDE pcom window? Can anyone tell me why mine is so wide and help me fix it? I'm perplexed... Thanks if you can help.
  6. It's quite the statement when a 51 year-old man in drag looks more believable than a 17 year-old girl in her everyday attire.
  7. You must have gotten the same brand we were looking at! I don;t think they ALL do that...my daughter has had a set for about a year, and she's had no problems. And she LOVES the steam option on the dryer. I've decided not to get any yet, though. The set I have now works perfectly...I just wanted to remodel the laundry room, and the front loaders would allow me to build more storage in that small room. But it can wait! Like I said earlier in this thread...do your research before buying!
  8. The forecast isn't looking too great for old Otis.
  9. I'm so glad you found a good deal there, momof3! However, I would warn folks to do their research... My husband and I were shopping recently for front-loaders. We stopped in there, and found an AMAZING price on brand new brand-name set. We were up at the register, planning to pay...meanwhile, I was on my iPhone, Googling up a storm, when I found a goldmine of really BAD reports on the set we were about to buy. I halted the sale process, and asked the nice salesman about the consumer reports on these machines. He appeared SHOCKED that they had such a bad performance record, and said he
  10. People in vegetable costumes?
  11. Vegan zombies? Though that would be the epitome of political correctness, wouldn't it?
  12. Just wait 'til the zombies get pi$$ed.
  13. People give out candy from the trunks of their cars. Which, when you really think about it, is wrong on so many levels, right? Every other day of the year we tell kids NOT to take candy from the trunks (or any part) of a stranger's car... We didn't look for a trunk or treat, though. We went to PM, and it was GREAT! Kudos to everyone involved. It wasn't overly crowded, and there was more than enough candy to go around. My little guy had a BLAST! I think this was the first time he understood the whole costume and candy thing. And he was SO POLITE! He said "Thank youuu!" to everyone who g
  14. Grandma the Clown and the little Red Power Ranger had a GREAT time at Paulding Meadows. Thanks!
  15. Thanks, grumps! I looked it up AFTER I posted this...probably could and should have done it before...but I found out that the costume parade at PM is at 5:30, for anyone else wondering. I was hoping most to find the time for West Ridge...didn't realize it was last night. We'll probably head out to PM a bit later this afternoon.
  16. Ha, ha. You so funny. I'm looking for a place to take my four year-old grandson tonight so that he can see some other kids in costume and maybe get a little candy. That's all. I don't care that Halloween is actually Monday, I don't care where the haunted houses or anything else is or what day most folks are "celebrating." I just know that there are some activities for kids TONIGHT, and I'd like to know when so I can enjoy the evening with my lil fella. But thanks for the great advice and all that. And thanks, grumps, for the REAL tip. I live in PS and don;t ever see the Dallas p
  17. I was combing through the threads here looking for what was happening tonight that we could take my grandson to, and though I see a lot of options, I see few times posted. I looked on the calendar for Westridge, and it says that there will be a "Trunk Event" at Ragsdale elementary, but it doesn't say what time...or Paulding Meadows...what time is that? Or downtown Dallas...is that tonight? What time? Thanks anyone who can help!
  18. I made it till the end! I was feeding my fish when it ended. It was a good game! And yeah, I hope Texas wins tomorrow night. We'll see!
  19. I have to go to sleep! I suppose I'll hear the result in the morning. I just can't do another inning AND go to work in the morning! Adding...at this rate, I may be able to watch the end of the game when I get up in the morning!
