  1. A $30 million road that you don't pay for? Are you familiar with the Transportation Investment Act? Have you read the final report, including the final list of projects? I read it today. Well, ok, I didn't read the WHOLE thing, but I did read a bunch of it, and I scanned the "Final Investment List" of projects. Look at appendix A, page 4, first item on the list: "SR 360 (Macland Road) from Paulding County Line to New Macland Road / Lost Mountain Road ‐ Widening" Yeah, I'm thinking that's going to make a big difference to a whole bunch of folks who commute from PC. AND...PC isn
  2. You should try making klobasnek...I would drive a LONG way to get some good klobasnek!! There is a little bakery in my hometown (in Texas) that makes them fresh every day, and they can NEVER make enough for the demand! The BEST (IMO) they make have jalapeno and cheese. These are NOT just pigs-in-a-blanket--the dough is a slightly sweet, soft yeast dough. They are magical. Trust me--these things would sell like crazy!
  3. Jeremy Mayfield is a "crank"shaft. What a disappointment. I'd feel sorry for him if he hadn't been complicit in his own demise. Dumba$$.
  4. Ok, WOW!! That was so much better. I liked it--and she used her voice distinctively but differently. It was GOOD!!
  5. Drew is up next. I sure hope she does something different. She has become the talent with one sound (along with Astro). I really like her, but she always sounds the same, no matter what she sings. And that's just not good, unless of course you're Stevie Nicks. From auditions, my favorites have been Chris, Melanie, and Drew. We'll see shortly what Drew pulls off tonight. But if it's the same old same old, I won't be impressed, no matter how amazing she sounds.
  6. This kid--Astro-- just irritates me to NO END. This isn't "talent," IMO. But he has an audience.
  7. Melanie!! I think she's one of the most talented contestants. Her voice is amazing.
  8. Agreed. And Rachel was JUST OK. Better than last week, but certainly not as good as they went on and on about.
  9. Here is the story of Tarra's life as a captive performing animal and her entry into the Sanctuary: Tarra's story
  10. Chris sounded AWESOME!! I'm still rooting for him. What an odd song they gave to him for his style, but he worked it OUT!
  11. Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee announced today the passing of its beloved dog, Bella, treasured companion of The Sanctuary’s first elephant, Tarra. Bella, the little white stray who came to The Sanctuary in 2003, became one half of one of the world's most famous animal duos. "Tarra and Bella were utterly devoted to each other," stated Rob Atkinson, CEO of The Sanctuary. "They shared their lives together, often traveling miles each day exploring the 2,200 acres of their wilderness home here at The Sanctuary." The story of their friendship, in sickness and in health, was featured in 2009
  12. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! She looks so pretty! And so BIG?!?!
  13. Ahh, the curse of being "oversexed" at the age of 17. That poor dear.
  14. Oh! We're on the same page about that! TWI would garner the state a HUGE income were it enforced.
  15. Why would anyone wonder about their sex life? They're married. I would assume that blesses them to have sex whenever and however they choose. That poor sweet little girl who married as a virgin. She must be so devastated to learn her "mature" prince charming is a horn dog. Poor thing.
  16. Whatchoo talkin' about, AGG? Her hair color is as natural as her bewbies! You cynic!
  17. I don't do trick or treaters old enough to be smarmy. If I didn't find this a fun tradition, I'd also be a bit peeved with kids extorting me for candy. I mean really? GIMME CANDY OR ELSE I'LL DO SOME MEAN TRICK? What do we teach kids when we instruct them to say "Trick or TREAT"?? If you don't gimme candy (and preferably the candy I LIKE), I'll...WHAT... bomb your house? Set it on fire? Break all of your windows? GREAT message!! But I do enjoy the tradition. Just for wee ones. Not for those old enough to get a part time job and buy their own freaking Whoppers.
  18. Yeah well but... This was explained by someone posting a topic with a HUGE title...I'm surprised that more folks didn't have the same effect I did. It was a post setting, and not a pcom setting or a setting on my laptop. I'm just glad it's back to "normal" now!!
  19. I might laugh my @$$ off if I could understand the text OR the joke. Sadly, it comes across as a bit insanely incoherent as presented. I don't read here to decipher. If that was the experience I was seeking, I have many advenures, and none have anything to do with pcom.
  20. This is EXACTLY why I turned off all the lights after the time had passed during which I'd get cute little ones--toddler through elementary. A kid who is old enough to get a JOB at McDonald's or elsewhere best not be knocking on my door asking for free candy. At what age are kids too old for TorT? In my mind, it's preschool through elementary. I won't willingly distribute candy to older kids. And trust me, around here (in PS), the largest number of kids asking for candy are the HS teens. Uhm, NO. Get a part-time job and buy your own freaking candy. T or T should be for the you
  21. None here. I blew out the pumpkins and turned off the lights. I sure wish I'd had at least a few. It's not like I live in an awful place or anything--this is a good neighborhood. But most of the smaller kids have grown up. Still, in the last year, we've had families with young kids move in...I guess there's so few here who participate, those who have younger kids go somewhere more "profitable" in the free candy department. **shrug** On another note...my grandson's mother called me a bit ago. We took Jaiden out to Paulding Meadows Saturday night, and he had a GREAT time there. He
  22. Thanks, Pubby! I was going whacko trying to figure out why everything was so stretched out!
